ID: gpzdgruAnd just this last week It was reported out that COD WARZONE will no longer fit fully on a 500gb PS4 hard drive, for those who have that model. Which is the exact opposite of this news. I can’t even imagine what justification WARZONE has to take up that much space.
ID: gpzm374It’s still relatively big for a Capcom game. They’re usually around the 20-30gb range. The only other big one I can think of is Monster Hunter, but before iceborne it was like 18gb.

ID: gq1i5n7I remember Metal Gear Solid 4 for the PS3 was massive for the time and it was like 27 GB. I think it was one of the few games for the PS3 that required an install that took around 15 minutes of so. Now I have one of the NBA 2K games that’s over 60 GB and I have no idea how a basketball game can be that big.

In 1987, I had my Atari 1040ST. It used the new 3.5" floppies. 1.44mb. I saw an advertisement for a new 500mb HD. I remember thinking "If I had a 500MB hard drive....I would never need any more storage ever."

This is actually quite big for a resident evil game, 7 and remakes 2&3 were ~25-30gb, this is gonna be one big RE game that’s for sure.

When companies had to get games onto cartridges some very talented people did amazing things with compression. Disks and your storage are cheap/ free to game makers so they don’t worry about that anymore. Nintendo’s Saturo Iwata helped fix some problems on gold and silver and managed to get enough space back to add the whole kanto region to the game.

If only they had a better way to store the games instead of downloading all that data and filling up your council so you end up having to buy another storage drive. Like an external storage device of some kind that the game would be on so you could plug and play

Is that a lot? I have no reference point. How big is the hard drive in the XBox? How big are average games on there? I haven’t played a console since the Mega Drive and if I start running low in space I just whack another 3T hard drive in my computer.

The math is complicated, but the concept is simple. In physics, information is stored in packets of energy (photons, which can be transmitted through fiberoptics), or matter (Most of the information we send through our ELECTRONics is done via electrons).
The more energy and matter, the greater the mass. The greater the mass, the more an object will weigh within a gravitational field (like earth’s).
Actually, it’s more proper to say that energy and matter are information. But that tends to be unintuitive for a lot of people.
Basically, information is made up of energy and matter, energy and matter have mass (matter is actually energy bound together by the fundamental forces) mass has weight within a gravitational field. So, information can be measured by its weight.

The odd numbered entries tend to be less enjoyable for me, so I have high hopes for this one.
(RE:4 on the Wii may be the greatest entry in the series. My former father in law, who was in his 60s, was even able to pick up the controls in minutes.)
