First time using a heroic base and leaves from green stuff world, not sure about the sword too.

Really works well with the head! I would try for a small freehand or pattern on that chest plate thingy. Or apply a decal to it

Yes! I had a hard time cutting the hand from the original SM Veteran shield, not a clean job, really...

Really cool mini and painting. The base doesn't fit the narrative to me for a boarding captain though. The leaves seem out of place

I agree with you, and i think it pops too much compared to the marine. For the next one i'll put less leaves.

For the narrative, let's change it to "first steps on agriworld : p"

The bullgryn shield looks perfect here - really well done. I like the goggles - do you remember where that head came from?

Also - that shading and coloring on the tabard looks great.

Seconding this. Raptors strike me as very practical/more realistic, so having a shield that actually covers them is super on brand.
