Here's how many games support either haptic feedback or adaptive triggers

I want to buy all of them

ID: hha9tng

very glad the top comment wasn't the same 12-month old joke about availability.

Club Nefarious in Rift Apart had my jaw on the floor. I spent so much time on that level. Paired with the 3D audio…. Wow…

ID: hh9ui66

That was my first "damn, the PS5 is HERE" moment after Astro's Playroom. I spent a solid 15 minutes wandering back and forth inside and outside the club marveling at how you could "feel" the distance from the club speakers.

Most I've played that support it are good. Not Astro's Playroom, but good.

Assassin's Creed and Kena weren't the best though.

ID: hh8xfu3

The bow in Kena was awesome, but yeah that was about it.

ID: hh99ren

Yeah it was just the bow. If there was feedback for shielding or parrying that would've been amazing.

ID: hha49qt

Nah the haptics are actually amazing for timing the charged R2 attack. There’s a little bit of feedback just as it reaches full charge making it way easier to get perfect hits.

(Perfect charge is the most underrated move in the game. The extra damage is nice, but it mainly adds stunlocks/interrupts to bosses that otherwise can’t be interrupted)

ID: hh978oj

Spider-Man remastered is really disappointing on the force feedback but haptic feedback is ok.

ID: hh9dal9

Miles morales was just ok. I think with time it will get better. For example, Far Cry has much better support than AC

ID: hh8yaui

Setting the bar at Astro’s Playroom is a bit too high, no? I mean expecting third-party devs to implement dualsense features to THAT degree is unrealistic

ID: hh904aw

It is a high bar, but it is also a good point of reference, since most people are likely to have played it (likely even the first game they experienced it with). Probably is also part of that game's purpose.

ID: hh9024u

That’s part of the reason PS5 games go for $70 though. If they’re going to charge $70 I expect haptics to be implemented to the fullest level that fits the game.

I know a lot of people dont love COD Cold War but its Haptic Feedback is great.

ID: hh9i3y2

I'm not the biggest fan of the feature, but it was cool for some of the weapons during the story for sure, some of the other guns though it felt like I was going to break the trigger every time I fired one.

Triggers and Haptic in Hot Wheels: Unleashed are FANTASTIC.

Imo the games with the best uses so far (that I’ve played) are:

Astros Playroom Wreckfest Hot Wheels: Unleashed Ghost of Tsushima Directors Cut
ID: hh9ysa5

How the hell are you forgetting Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart lol

ID: hh9b7xo

Don't forget Returnal as everyone sadly does lol. One of the best games/exclusives I've ever played.

ID: hh9jrrq

Would love to give returnal a try but it’s still to expensive here. Cheapest it ever was on Amazon was £55 (over $75) and not much cheaper elsewhere

ID: hh9dpuo

Returnal is the best for me, even better than Astros Playroom as a whole package and immersive experience.

ID: hh9xqfs

If you’re into sim rally racing give WRC9 a try. Even if you’re not, there’s a free roam mode that makes the game worth it for that alone if bought at a deep discount. Its haptics are miles better than any racer I’ve tried, way better than Wreckfest (which I really enjoyed).

ID: hha11bo

Oh shit fr? First I'm hearing about it for hot wheels. Gonna get it whenever it goes on sale then, just like wrc9 that I bought solely cause of the praise it got for the haptics, and love it!

Returnal and GoT Director's Cut, just wow.

So excited to see that GTA 6 will support this, awesome find!! /s

ID: hh9psvd

Knowing how rockstar does control schemes they’ll probably achieve some sort of breakthrough in the way you feel the pavement through the controller vibrations that people didn’t even think was possible and then for guns it’ll just be the same dull kinda-hard-kinda-easy press for every gun with no additional feedback

Rock band is on there?

ID: hh9nk9y

The best way to convince people it isn’t a gimmick is by listing a game where the controllers entire functionality is limited to navigating menus lmao

Holy shit, that’s way more than I expected!

MechWarrior 5 is a good deal of fun with these mechanics

Best implementation I’ve played other than Astro is Siege

Rock band 4 has dualsense support??

Question: Does anyone elses Dualsense controller seem to sound/feel like the motor in there is getting very weak? I treat mine like gold (like I do all my electronics) yet for whatever reason it almost sounds like you can hear something in there with the motor and the vibrations have gotten way weaker.

lol, Reddit. Where you get downvoted for asking a question because people can't stand having their piece of plastic questioned

ID: hh8zbgi

In Spider-Man, the vibrations for when you swing from your web seemed to change about halfway through my play through, like it was malfunctioning

ID: hha4qhg

100% of the time since i use a headset

ID: hh9cfre

check the strength settings under controller settings

Wreckfest does it so damn good

It’s really cool that the features in the DualSense are actually getting used. When the controller was first announced, I didn’t think they’d get used much outside of first party games.

This is great but a lot of these are barebone implementations just so they can say it's supported and to get some extra sales. But despite that, I've still been pleasantly surprised by the amount of games that are implementing it at a decent standard.

Do any pc games support it?

Anyone else really not a fan of the adaptive triggers? I always turn it off if I can. I think the triggers themselves feel great but I don't like the adaptive feature, just doesn't feel right to me.

ID: hh9nhxl

Yeah I don't like them. I keep it on at first to test it out but it always feels like the triggers are about to break so I turn it off.

ID: hhaf0tb

They just get in the way. I just want to play a game without the controller fighting against me.

I cannot explain to y'all my level of shock going through FFXIV on my PS5 and seeing how in depth they got with it when I wasn't expecting anything. The walking is really subtle unless you zoom in the camera because the sound gets louder so the vibration gets stronger. Every mount feels different and flying feels great. They even have some (admittedly rare throughout the main story at least) mini games where you have to first person shoot and it uses the adaptive triggers. There's probably more I'm forgetting but it was very dope !

The better question is How many games support motion/gyro aiming?

Biggest feature of dualsense/dualshock 4 that gets ignored…

ID: hh8r5ku

Can you give an example of one?

ID: hh8rmog

Enlisted (it has some issues since it has deadzone which makes very small adjustments hard)

Paladins

The last of us part 2

Days gone

Rogue company

Quake remastered

Switch has gyro aiming for almost every game for example Doom eternal, Fortnite, apex legends, overwatch all support gyro aiming on switch but even tho playstation has better hardware for gyro aiming the games do not support it.

bf V with gyro aiming against MnK

ID: hh8sdck

Potential for gyro aiming

The real question is how many of them support it good, a quarter of all of those is my guess.

ID: hh8upc3

I would say way fewer than a quarter. Support in most games is fairly nice but weak overall. I'd say Astros playroom, Returnal, ratchet and clank, and Deathloop do the best jobs by far, and Dirt 5, black ops cold war put in a good effort. Kena and ghost of Tsushima it's so weak it's barely noticeable IMO.
