I just want a modern racing game that's super over the top and not realistic, like motorstorm.
Everything these days is sim or "simcade" and I could not give a single fuck about tuning my car or delicately manipulating the throttle around curves. I want to slam the accelerator to the floor, slide around corners with outright contempt for realistic physics and make giant jumps off huge cliffs while ramming other vehicles off the road.

Even a remastered collection would be fine by me, I've been a fan since it came out in 2006.
I even imported a PS3 from Japan to play it early here in the UK plus all the games online were amazing fun. I met a bunch of people who I ended up being friends with through the multiplayer and still am, I met a couple of them in person too.
Reboot / remastered collection whichever.

If I owned a PS3 back then, Motorstorm is one of the series I probably would be playing on the system, alongside Sonic and Ratchet and Clank, and the PS2 remasters of Sly Cooper, maybe Jak and Daxter.
But the systems can't play Mario, which is why I had the Wii (and DS).

I agree with you brother I got it with my PS3 on Christmas and it rekindled my love for racing games at the time the physics and graphics were just out of this work and the rag filling from falling off your bike was so fun to watch
ID: hssy382Motorstorm pacific rift was the first game I ever played I had since 2010 I think, it survived a flood and I still play it today cause it’s such a great game

There was a game called PURE on PS3, an ATV off road tricks racer. To this day its the best i have ever played. Wish it would make a comeback.

MotorStorm, Burnout, their ilk.
Never tried Split/Second, but it sounds up my alley.
