Has invincibility buff.

Ahh yes, gravity.
The greatest anti-cheat.ID: hgjbu79
I used the cheat to get 10 lives and I lost them all like a minute into the game when you first come across those bats.
When Xbox released the old Rare Replay collection with Battletoads? Fuck, even with the ability to rewind time by a few seconds, as often as you wanted, that game was still fucking evil.
That Replay collection gave me a real appreciation for the people who beat the game organically, because it showed me just how frame perfect you actually needed to be in order to beat some of those vehicle levels.ID: hgh2j62
That's definitely one of those games that inspired this post! Also, Contra. Even with the Konami code, I couldn't overcome the challenge.ID: hghlcsf
the real cheat code is having a player 2ID: hgirg9q
Ghouls and Ghosts. I couldn't beat it with an emulator, save states, and cheat codes.
You have to beat the end boss, realize that you left the thing that can kill the end boss back at the start of the game, then go back to get it, then go ALL THE WAY BACK to face the end boss AGAIN.ID: hginu0o
When I was a kid I was a Contra pro. I could beat the entire game with one life pretty much every time I fired it up. It was the only game other than super mario brothers that I owned and I couldn't afford more so I got really good at it.ID: hghazjf
You should have tried the original ntsc-j version.ID: hgiiij6
Played many hours(probably months of game time) and memorized enemy locations, jump timing, enemy patterns, warps, etc. I still couldn't beat battletoads without extra lives cheat code cheats. Just couldn't make it to the final boss with more than 1 life and a sliver of a health.ID: hghfm3n
Still waiting for that game to port to PC.
I have it, I'm just too lazy to turn on my Xbox and actually use it.
It's funny trying to play some games with cheats and realizing you broke the game because some scripted event depends on you being able to get hit or something.
Not even getting NG+ through main menu storage, constant float, invincibility and noclip?ID: hghzli3
They could only beat games on journalist mode.
Whys Garalt of Rivia throwing away that poor cat carrier I dont get itID: hghrz1t
You fool, that’s obviously Solid Snake throwing away his horse.ID: hghsrnm
Oh, I didn't see the legs at first
He should throw himself away
Almost felt like I will not be able to finish Control. But I activated some of the available options in the end…ID: hgiexyh
Was it cheats or just getting a decent load out though? I started to really struggle about 2/3 of the way though, until I realized I wasn't using half of the weapons/powers correctly. Then it was pretty straightforward.ID: hgirujs
I ended up cheating in the last 15-20% of Control, as the bullet-spongier and more deadly enemies just sapped all fun out of the experience. Increased the Service Weapon's damage output by a factor of 5, and continued having a blast.
Ah modders in gta lmao
Does Hades count?
Some of my favorite gaming memories are StarCraft, played it a TON on N64, then got first pc from uncle and using cheat codes to just have boatloads of fun with custom created scenarios or maps.
Is that a Commodore PET? IDK if that machine even had any games that could induce rage-quitting.
When I play Lobotomy corporation with mods and still lose
I am about to face the final boss of FIST, I am seriously considering using cheats because of sheer laziness. Maybe a youtube video, idk
I picked up the Castlevania collections. My brother and I got to Dracula in the 3rd game as a kid, but we could never beat it. Now that I'm well into adulthood and should have improved my gaming skills, I thought I'd dominate.
I used the cheat to get 10 lives and I lost them all like a minute into the game when you first come across those bats. WTF Those bats are hard!
And I realized I don't have the skills to play this game anymore and I'm not sure I want to spend hours and hours getting them back. 🙁
That was me on GTA SA I could never beat it so I just used the cheats to mess around
This happen to me once for a platformer
Games still have cheats?ID: hghe18c
Thats what makes the game fun after you beat it for the first timeID: hgi9p58
Trainers at least.ID: hgisbsz
Get CheatEngine. Super useful if you suck at games like I do.
fuck /cheat add bomber
FUCK /cheat add 10 bomber
FUCKING...AAAH /cheat add 100 bomber
NO! /cheat victory
platformer games be like:ID: hgho3aw
I suck at platforming, so I have to give up good games like Ori and Guacamelee pretty early when I can't do the crazy fucking mechanics, and most don't have a way to "skip" that shit.
If you play games with cheats you should throw yourself in the garbage, not the pc.ID: hggxq01
Man, it’s crazy the way some people react to others playing video games.ID: hghfv8i
There are a lot of really stupid people with really stupid opinions who think very highly of themselves so basically if you do something that they can't comprehend, you've personally offended them and should die, even though it literally affects no one.ID: hgh62o4
Online competitive: Fully agree
Online Coop: If everyone playing in the group does not care, then who cares.
Single player: Who cares, let people play the way they want. Some people don't have the spare time to 'get gud' at a game and just want to relax.ID: hghg5l7
Doesn't even have to be about getting good.
People don't want to waste what little time they have on the off chance they might die from dumb shit and then have to sit through forced cutscenes or replaying sections etc.
You have this really fucking weird generation of gamers now who grew up in a time when games literally didn't have cheats anymore. Because developers took them away or disabled console or the rise of online-only bullshit took away any possible ability to mod the game on any level, whether it's cheats or whatever, because it's a multiplayer game etc.
Like imagine if you grew up playing Total War or GTA or Half-Life/Doom/Quake/Duke Nukem/Unreal/SimCity/The Sims/Contra/Gradius and there were no cheat codes or mods.
That'd be pure trash. 99% of the fun of GTA came from cheat codes.ID: hghbsml
I use cheats to save time in single player. I’m playing GTA San Andreas and finishing a mission sooo far from home is annoying when you can’t even bring up the map because your mouse could randomly stop working in game, meaning you have to restart the game. ROCKETMAN and I’m good. Never cheated godmode or weapons on my playthrough, only wanted level when I entered military area by accident while jetpacking or farming lung capacity.ID: hghhpqn
If you haven't played a GTA game with cheats, you are missing am important formative experience of youth.

Almost had to do this with Kerbal Space Program. Trying to make an Eve mission with return back to Kerbin. I needed pretty much every cheat in the game to get back into Eve orbit.
Looking at you Skyrim players.
Did this with Project Zomboid, turned down all the setting on the zombies to make them slow and shitty. Still fucking constantly killed by zombies haha
That's me when I use mods on fallout and Skyrim and still can't get trophies or achievements. So stupid to lock that. I know "well collecting trophies and achievements are a waste too" but I like it!!
Tmnt 2003 gamecube. 2 weeks of hell attempting the final stage. I am yet to conquer it.
