Would anybody else like the Village DLC to focus on Mia?

I know this is an unpopular opinion and that most people aren't fond of her character, but am I the only one who thinks the Village DLC should focus on Mia? She was criminally underused in the game and has a lot of story to explore that could clarify a lot of holes in the story such as:

1.) How was Mia captured by Mother Miranda? How long has she been held in captivity? 2.) Mia mentioned she was "used in experiments." The game quickly glosses over that, but this is obviously something to take notice of.

In addition, we know that Mia and Mother Miranda worked together while creating Eveline. A DLC would be a perfect chance to delve more into their history together and shed some more light on Mother Miranda as well.

If playable, maybe Mia escapes and wonders into the Village at the onset of the Lycan attack. She could interact with the villagers, encounter the Lycan, and see the downfall of the Village while being pursued by Mother Miranda. Maybe Mia could even see Ethan entering the Village until inevitably being captured again before being able to reach him. This could also be a good way to allow Mia to have her own unique enemies to encounter by incorporating some of the cut creatures as well.

I know the popular demands are for Lady Dimitrescu and Elena, but I truly believe a DLC centered around Mia would be so much more beneficial to the story than playing as anyone else.

I wouldn’t mind it if it meant more lady D. I still want a proper fight in her human form.

She was criminally under-utilized in the game. I had a lot of questions after the end of RE7, like, did she feel guilt for her involvement, how did it affect her relationship with Ethan, etc. Then in 8 it's like, where is she, is she even alive? And she just unceremoniously shows up at the end and that's it.

Mia was the entire catalyst of RE7's plot, and a secondary playable character. She deserves more than a glorified cameo in 8.

I honestly think there would be more interesting stories to tell.

Maybe letting us follow the four lords a bit more. Especially Donna and Moreau had quite little parts, so maybe a story from the past that gives us more of them would be neat. We could play as that dude that was ordered to go to the Beneviento house to get a bit more of that puzzle/atmosphere gameplay, for example.

Another idea many people would probably enjoy is "What if... Ethan teamed up with Heisenberg"

Plus the stories from the villagers that apparently got cut (as well as the Ada appearance that didn't make it into the game) would be neat too.

But my bet is on the DLC being about the European BSAA HQ (and their bio weapons), which was teased at the end of the base game.

I'm not opposed to it, but they'd have to do it right. Like, if they have Mia out in the village interacting with people, they need to make sure it isn't anyone who later interacts with Ethan (like Elena or Luiza) otherwise it will be weird that nobody mentions her to him in the original game.

My preference would be for the DLC to follow one of the villagers in the events that happen immediately before Ethan shows up, when the lycans start attacking. It would be really cool if you play first-person as Elena from the start of that until the moment Ethan walks into where she is with her injured father. (Actually it would be a perfect opportunity to close out Ethan's story with a face reveal, but if they didn't want to do that they could easily figure out a work-around, like having the camera drift into third person as the door opens and you just see Elena reacting to his entrance.)

Would much rather have one with Wolfhound squad

Not really.

i would kinda be interested in the story of the coffin dude with the knife who tried to kill lady d once upon a time.

Personally, I'm most looking forward to: Dimitrescu, Dimitrescu's daughters, Heisenberg, Beneviento DLCs.

Now, Mia? I'm not sure. If it's a puzzle escape (she's locked up, after all) like The Bedroom from RE7, which is my favorite DLC, then I'd like it. A story DLC I'm not enthusiastic about, but it could work.

Mmm the fertive Moreau, so easily forgotten

Mia Is a boring character. Chris would be nicer

Oh damn yeah she felt suspiciously absent from the game, or maybe that’s just me. I’d be more interested in a 4 lords backstory thing or Elena’s scrapped content. Maybe Ada DLC too if it makes sense.

I hate Mia but I agree with OP on this one, she’s important to the story and a dlc revolving around her makes sense. A, 4 lords dlc isn’t necessary to the overall plot

I would have thought if Mia featured anywhere it would be as the new "in over their head" protagonist who accompanies Chris to the BSAA headquarters.

I honestly don’t know what I want with DLC, all I know is I want more.

Agreed. I loved Castle Dimitrescu and I think Alcina is a very iconic villain, but I’m worried CAPCOM may choose to avoid making DLC that focuses on anyone but her. I think there’s a lot of cool opportunities to be had here and if we just get Castle Dimitrescu 2.0 with a different protagonist I’ll be sorely disappointed.

I’d like to see an old character return like Claire or Leon or some shit. Fuck it use a wild card like Carlos
