I get how the lag caused the graphical issue of teleportation.
But if the red guys backstab attack went through and caused death (or the fall caused death) then how the f did the other guy get a chance to backstab? Was there a DoT effect?

So on the hosts screen he backstabbed the invader first, on the invaders screen (our perspectice), he got the backstab first. The ping between the two was such that for the host, he got the backstab off then probably the invader teleported behind him and yeeted him off.
