I've been confused on compatability. It's most gen4x4 M.2 drives right?

Heatsink

Kind of a misleading title, Sony isn't releasing these lol. It's an aftermarket SSD, hence Sony doesn't really have any control over them.
It's a Sony owned company. Hence the wording of the title specifying this.
Ah wasn't aware it was owned by them, first time hearing of Nextorage. But that little bit "Sony owned company Releases..." would have helped clarification.

I didn't report it or anything if that's what you're saying. I just don't think many people know that Nextorage is owned by Sony hence the confusion. Seems the company was recently founded in 2019.

I myself have been using the 980 pro since the beta. Works great buuuuuuut I am now wanting a 2tb one lol. I got the 1tb.
Step 1. Snagged a 2TB SN850 that got lost in the mail thanks to Ontrac fuckwits and Best Buy refunded me for lost drive. only then to have the drive to show up my door a few days later
Step 2. .....?
Step 3. Profit
Maybe this time next year, the prices will come down for the 2TB. And maybe by this time next year, we will actually need the storage space.

Seagate FireCuda 530 4TB M.2 2280-D2 PCIe Gen4 ×4 NVMe 1.4 SSD thats the description, been told it will work but it was damn expensive
If this costs more than say, a Samsung NVMe, then I'll just opt for the Samsung.

No, that is 2.5'' SATA SSD form factor, PS5 requires M.2 SSD generation 4 NVME drives to work inside it
I can never remember all those words and abbreviations for the specs of things but it sounds fancy
