So the people who said Arkane will screw up the performance (again), were actually right.

eh works fine with rx 6800 + 5800x

I think he means screw up FSR implementation and as a result perf, not that the game won't run without it.

TL;DR from a comment:

Arkane messed up the FSR implementation, the game lowers the internal resolution like it should, but it does NOT upscale, nor sharpen the image. So, it's literally broken, I don't know how Arkane managed to mess up something as easy and straightforward to implement as FSR.

That users post seems bullshit either there is a bug in his system or his FSR picture is mislabeled other people have tested it and showing good work

That FSR image is noticeably lower res. Check out any of the far textures like the rocks or road.

Well that explains why it looked so bad. Ironically, some people found it acceptable.

it does have AMD logo on it so i'm sure there'll be some individuals claiming FSR looks great no matter what, lol

To be completely honest on my 27“ 4K screen unless I see a direct comparison of two pictures right after each other overalls can’t see any difference between 1080p and 4K images. Call me old or bad sighted but I think with high enough resolution there isn’t much difference

Not gonna lie, I tried it and it looks perfectly fine, almost better than DLSS. I don't just eat up everything AMD does; this objectively looks fine.

How's they the fault of AMD, blame the developers

good work Arkane

6 : Anonymous2021/09/16 18:15 ID: hd3x9dv

Have you tried using applications like Lossless Scaling to see if it actually works better than what Arkane gave you?

"easy to integrate" smh

If you make something idiot proof, someone will just make a better idiot.

What about this suggests that it isn't easy to implement compared to similar techniques?
