HBO is already making a series, all the parts have been cast, and they're sinking more money into the show than they did for Game of Thrones.
Don't think you're going to get a Last of Us movie for at least a decade, if they ever make one at all.

I'm one of those who really wanted Nikolaj to be cast as Joel. His range on GoT proved to me he could be great (and the look). Bradley Cooper is too famous to play a supporting role in a video game TV series. Kristen Stewart is... an incredibly strange suggestion (she's 31 now).
I like Pedro Pascal but I feel like he's been popping up in everything. For the Ellie role I was kind of hoping for an unknown actress to be cast and totally knock it out of the park.

For as pointless as these kinds of posts always are, this one is extra pointless. It’s already being made into a live action tv series and they’re not going to double down and make a movie with a different cast.
