We have teamed up with the Sherpa Discord to provide players both new and old with some support. They are aware of this thread and will be in and out of it to help everyone who wants some assistance. What *are* Sherpas you ask?

Well, look no FURTHER! The Sherpa program was originally created to assist both new players and experienced alike to get a better grasp of the game, to enjoy themselves and possibly to make new FRIENDS, endless opportunities!
What we offer? We are a team of highly experienced Tarkov players who have been battling in this game for far too long, and enjoy teaching others how to improve and get a better understanding of how the game works. The program first started in 2018, with a couple of volunteers ready to help and have since then grown to ridiculous numbers.
Right now, our team has more than 100 Sherpas, all with their own playstyle and skill set who will willingly assist you in your new or continuous adventures through the dangers of Tarkov for no price at all, yes its completely FREE.

Daily schedule
**Monday** - Money Monday = Loot Pics / Stash Flexes and Crazy Raids loots pics
**Tuesday** - NewbDay Tuesday = New players questions and Stories from when you or a friend was new
**Wednesday** - Workshop Wednesday = Gun Builds / TheoryCrafting and Endgame ideas
**Thursday** - Lost Connections and To the Guys Thursdays = Lost connections and to the guy posts and or stories about that missing in game soulmate
**Friday** - Fuckboi Friday = Funny stories and hilarious clips / Hilarious clips are allowed to be Memey but no Meme images are allowed.
**Saturday** - Sherpa Saturday = A combined day with the Sherpa Hub to get new players help and get some groups happening
**Sunday** - Scenery Sunday = Cool screenshots, Cool pics and General Scenery. Also, cool Tactical Screenshots of squads and or game moments

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask, but I'm trying to unlock Jaeger. Does the thing you need to pick up in Woods spawn for everyone or do I need to get there first?
ID: hda2td1ID: hda2wl5Okay, and I'm assuming it has to be on PMC and can't be a SCAV run then. I got to the area as a scav but it didn't spawn.
ID: hdb1u8nQuest specific items spawn at the exact same spot, but only you (who have accepted the quest) can see and interact with it. If you don’t have the quest active it won’t even be visible. As an extension scav runs can’t pick these up either because scavs don’t have quests
If multiple people go to the same quest item, even if one person picks it up for himself for you it would be still there for you to pick up also.
On the other hand, generic items that are required for quest hand-in behave like normal items

Maybe not the best place to ask but: I was just scavving on Interchange and got brutally murdered by Killa. I have positive fence rep (2.13) and I didn't fire a single shot or aggress any scavs up until that point. He was inside of brutal and I ran up to him and he voicelined then opened fire. I hid behind some boxes and voicelined back, but then he just came around the corner and erased me. Do I just not understand how his AI works or is this potentially a bug they're still working on?
ID: hd9yzukYou need 6+ karma for bosses to not aggro you. They can be friendly lower than 6 but it isn’t a guarantee
ID: hdbx2k6i agree with your statement; doesnt have to be 6+ karma, i have 2.1 karma and most of the time i can walk up to killa without him aggroing on me. its about a third of the time that he kills me as a scav, the other 2/3 times hes friendly and sticks to his patrol path.
ID: hd9xd1xafaik bosses will aggro all scavs once any scav has attacked them, regardless if it was you or not. This is how Tagilla works at least, seems like his brother would act similarly.

Can anyone help me cope with how loud i feel like i am when i’m casually walking around? Maybe it’s a personal issue, but i feel like i can’t be expected to make a lot of noise and survive. How do I deal with my clompy insecurities?
ID: hdaklrlThis will also depend on what headset you're using. The gssh headset makes footsteps very very loud. Try something like Sordins. Even better, check out Veritas' excellent video on headsets to figure out your personal preference.
ID: hda8vr1I scroll down a bit on my mouse wheel and walk at like 80% speed and it doesn't seem to make a ton of noise. I'm new too though

If the reserve switch that turns on the alarm for 5 min doesn't end up spawning raiders, does activating it again afterwards give it another chance of spawning raiders or does it simply not spawn raiders at all if the first switch didn't activate them?
Also, do they spawn immediately or does it take a few minutes?
ID: hdbxbm7only on the first hermetic button activation do raiders have a chance to spawn. subsequent presses of said button do not have chances to spawn raiders. they will spawn in immediately.

Are there any issues with the servers today? I'm constantly stuck on 'waiting for players' and am unable to actually spawn into a raid at all.
ID: hdd8dfxI've found that whenever the game gets stuck on that phase of loading (sitting on it for 5+ min) restarting will get it to load in pretty quick.

ok how do you cooperate with a pmc as a scav? literally everyone i see just kills me. also land mines how do you see them?
literally anytime i do well the dumbest things ruin my run over the last two days. things i learned about at the wrong time include that you die from exhaust in the middle of a run even if it within 4 minutes of starting, and mines. also blacking out while dehydrated
ID: hddcvg4I never try to cooperate with Scavs as a PMC. I literally shoot anything that walks. I know some EXFIL's require cooperation but there is always another option and it's not worth it.
Wiggling back and forth is how I communicate for Scav on Scav.
ID: hddf7j0i joined as a scav and spawned right next to the gate in woods that lets you leave if you cooperate with a pmc so i was confused on that. i ran over mines trying to get to the next place after running forever hence the frustration

What's the best helmet/headset pairing for around level 5? I didn't think to use headsets much but everyone swears by them.

600+ sherpa raids, playing this game 3,5 years and helping actively about 2 years now. 4500+ hours, 8th wipe
still no green name, but fuck off not gona stop it. im doing it for community not for a fancy color. better give the green names some streamers that they can feel better while doing no sherpa raids at all
