A game in the style of Detroit:Become Human and Heavy Rain would be amazing.
Interesting to see how they would handle fitting in with the canon though

ID: hddpd8yImagine playing a star punk style detective, following a trail of clues all throughout Coruscant. If there’s one thing Quantic Dreams can do, it’s beautiful environments. I think it’s pretty safe to say, if this is true, it’ll be the best looking Star Wars game made to date, even if it is a bit clunky, judging from their history. I’m sure the writing will be atrocious with some surprisingly profound moments sprinkled about also.

I’ve enjoyed the 3 Quantic Dream games I’ve played. I think their approach could work quite well with this IP.
Now that the EA exclusive is done, we’ll have all sorts of different SW games coming, so if this isn’t for you, just wait for the next one.

Does sony still have a partnership with them? Weren’t they the ones with a bunch of behind the scenes drama?
Edit: just looked it up they ended there exclusive partnership in 2019 so this is a multiplat game.
ID: hdch5ogI think QD still would only make games for PS5 and PC regardless since David Cage had a falling out with MS while pitching Heavy Rain.
ID: hdclbd2That Sony exclusivity ship sailed after Detroit. I think Sony wasn't happy that the sexual harassment/racism scandal popped up at QD right before Detroit launched causing all that bad press. They did get investments from elsewhere after Detroit and will most likely be multiplatform now.

Quantic Dream are amazing in creating games that make your decisions have actual conquences in the direction of the story & it's conclusion. That sense of control is incredibly satisfying & realistic.
I only wish they collaborated with another development team who would work on the in-game mechanics. Which would allow QD to focus on what they do best, creating vast & intricate story branches.
So while this is tremendously good news, considering the lore in SW that QD will have the opportunity to delve into it. I'm not particularly looking forward to 10 minutes of QTE to simply turn on the lightsaber...

I love the idea, but I don’t think that Disney would ever let them get as down and dirty with the SW property to let Quantic Dream make what they really need to make.
This is like hearing Kojima was making a toy story game.
Interesting, but maybe not the best fit.
