I'm all for good stories but when the gameplay feels like that Avengers game as an example, it's probably gonna make people speedrun through just for the story. I'd like maybe something close to Arkham Knight, just gameplay that's addictive because it feels good and you feel like Wolverine if that makes sense.

Im not getting fooled for this same headline again. THATS EXACTLY HOW THEY PROMOTED BATTLEFRONT 2 STORY.
I loved spec ops on my ps3, truly a gem and i 100% know its the only good story that author will ever make, all those disney/marvel/esrb restrictions will always cripple creativity freedom for anything they wanna do with the charcters of the wolverine game.

ID: hhs5711Battlefront 2 was 1000000% rewritten to make the protagonist defect instead of portraying an honest viewpoint of the empire. There are blatant pieces of evidence of that throughout the marketing and the game itself

I don't care who it's written by, it's being developed by Insomniac, that alone means it's gonna be at least a 9/10.

walt williams is a top notch writer, but hes had two giant MEHS since Spec Ops, a game that slid out almost ten years ago.
ID: hhrkdg5Writing for an entry in a big tent pole franchise is gonna probably stymie creativity because of bureaucracy. Good thing Wolverine isn’t a part of a big franchise!
ID: hhrs7afBoth of those were multiplayer focused games that had singleplayer campaigns pretty obviously tacked on. That and the Star Wars license is notoriously restrictive. You can be the best writer in the world and still turn out a crappy story if you aren't given enough freedom to do what you want with it.

Was Spec Ops the one in Saudi Arabia or a country like that in the future and it's all buried in sand? That was a pretty cool game. Mostly for the story too so this news bodes well.
