Literally the last thing we heard about the game was that it was going to be delayed and that was back in January of this year. Here it is almost a full year later and we still know nothing. It’s just strange to not hear anything at all and the game is supposed to release next year.
ID: hjte61fGotham Knights is rumoured for April 2022, wonder if WB would release two AAA games so close to each other. Feel like Gotham Knights is more likely though, just because it's closer to The Batman, and has more footage.

Can’t believe there’s a third FB film even coming out. I’m a massive Harry Potter nerd and I see zero hype for this film and no one actually wanting it.
I’m excited for Hogwart’s Legacy though, feels like a game I’ve wanted to play for 20 years.
ID: hjtkncoI loved the first one. The second one, I remember watching and thinking "that wasn't as bad as everyone said, I actually enjoyed it." But now I'm thinking back and I remember almost nothing about it, which kind of says a lot.
ID: hjtl9vfI wish they had just let the Fantastic Beasts series continue as fun, whimsical, beast-filled adventures to flesh out the Harry Potter world outside of our usual stories and characters. 1 was great for that but 2 pivoted into a full Dumbledore prequel story. Which could have been fine on its own but the Newt/ fantastic beasts stuff felt so forced in.

The first one was so disconnected storyline-wise that all I remember is chasing a few magical creatures around, and then the kid turns out to be so depressed its creating an emo monster or something? And then the guy gets a bakery.

I’m so hyped for this game, potential is huge. The main thing that I hope is they nail a formula that keeps us engaged (addicted) for a long time with things that will really make us feel like a student, and not a loop that gets old/repetitive quickly.

There's no way this won't disappoint people. There's such an absurd amount of untapped potential and ideas for a Harry Potter game and practically no way to pull all of it off from a game dev standpoint.
Maybe if they stick with this and make it a series, they'll be able to eventually do all the stuff people are hoping for, but Hogwarts: Life Simulator is not going to happen here.
ID: hju3xkwFor me, as long as it has good gameplay/mechanics and an okay story I'll probably love it. I just hope they don't try and do too much to the point of other aspects of the game suffering.

I think alot of people are going to be disappointed when they can't really dive deep into the dark arts because of the targeted audience. How evil will they let you be?

The first one was very mediocre (this is the point they announced they were making 5), the second one was universally panned, and now we’ll see how the new one is. They better have started to plan to wrap it up in 4 because if this one is as bad as the last, it’s going to fizzle out fast, and they’re not going to want to leave HP fans like Divergent fans got left, with 1 movie left in the story.

Really just want the game to have a sorta Persona-like feel to it. Go to school/develop relationships during the day, do wizard shit after class. I think that would be hella tight

But taking the general skeleton of Persona and trimming it down to fit modern, Western expectations of open-world-with-hub RPG style games? They could do really really well.

For a game that could theoretically come out as soon as mid-late April, I find it a little odd that we haven't heard a thing about it since it was announced last September. I mean this game has been in development for over four, likely more, years at this point.
Just odd, not complaining. I'm stoked for it (or at least what it appears to be).
