- Bandai Namco Still Considers Little Nightmares a 'Headline IP' Despite Uncertainty Surrounding the Series' Future
-
I’ve really enjoyed both and would be extremely happy to play another.
-
Tarsier studios are super talented.
Little Nightmares is one of the best looking games out there. Amazing art design.
I've played and loved both. While I'd love to see another I'd also love to see them throw their talents into something else.

I really enjoyed the first game. Still need to pick up the second but last I looked it was a little pricey for what it is.
ID: hk7rurcIt's 20 dollars new/physical version at gamestop right now.
I think it was 40 when it launched. Its only a 5-6 hour game so I could see not wanting to buy it full price. It's worth 20 IMO if you liked the first game.
ID: hk99klvThe second is so much better. Unfortunately I played the second one first, so I'm having trouble getting into the first one. But the second one is definitely a lot better.
ID: hk9a861I liked the first one quite a bit but it certainly has some gameplay issues here and there. I recall dying a few times and thinking "yo wtf, how was that fair?" Looking forward to the sequel, where I hope those gameplay quirks have been ironed out.

I havent played the games, but I know that they are pretty damn great, and very highly regarded. So yeah.
ID: hk9hsnfyou should definitely check out the first Little Nightmares, it’s on sale quite frequently down to around £4. it’s a very unique horror experience.
ID: hk8fxuxI’m in the same boat I’ve never played either but from the gameplay I’ve seen they look pretty decent

“Headline IP?” That seems like overcompensating. It’s a great series so far but that feels like maybe too high praise.
ID: hk7z4zpThey’re just saying that the series quality/sales justify its placement to them as a “headline IP,” so they are eager to continue the series if possible
ID: hk92p0sThis is the same publisher that owns Ace Combat, right?
ID: hk96x8wPublisher & Developer of Ace combat. But publisher of these titles as well;
Elden ring Dark souls 1-3 Tales of arise PAC man Scarlet nexus No no kuni Soul caliber Dragon ball fighter z Tekken 7
I mean, yeah again little nightmares is awesome but HEADLINE IP? Seems like a major stretch to me imo.
ID: hkbfx9wNamco have been around a long ass time.
One of the true OGs.
Pac-man, Galaxians, Galaga, Xevious, Pole Position, Tekken, Ridge Racer etc. etc.
ID: hk84duyBamco bungled their classic IPs so bad that a 2017 game is their "headliner".
ID: hk8nvvfi mean, what can you call a "headliner" when you've murdered and are actively trying to murder every classic Namco/Bamco IP that isn't Tekken?

Amazing games. Honestly the most spooked and on edge I’ve been playing videos games in years.
-
I have loved both of these games, I really hope to see more in the future, once I finished them they both left me wanting more.
-
The games are great, maybe just a tad shorter than I would like.
-
make the checkpointing a little more frequent and it’d be perf
ID: hkajuntHuh, that’s definitely one thing that never crossed my mind. I feel like the checkpoints were very fair from what I recall, but it’s been a while
ID: hkajzvqi felt the way about both installments — it’s just frustrating going through scripted sequences over and over for tight spots
-
Anybody know if there’s gonna be a ps5 update for the first game?
ID: hk9y24aI heard there is
-
One of my favourite games. I really hope we see more of it...
-
It's a fun little franchise for sure. Amazing and unique artstyle.
-
Playing the first one now and it's utterly fantastic. But it's also a short, simple experience on rails. Something to play inbetween larger games.
-
BRILLIANT, horrifyingly beautiful, masterpieces, absolutely... perfect in every way.
THOSE 2 games are SO good, that they are worth for paying FULL price, trust me! I am not telling you that you should pay full, just that they are worth it.
-
I'm so interested in giving this a try but my eyesight really struggles with any game that is majority in the dark which is quite frustrating, it's pretty much ruled out any game that takes place at night.....
-
Always liked their games. Would live to see where those go with a new game that's not a side scroller type thing.
-
Bought and played the 1st one with my niece on Halloween and it was a lot of fun.
-
The first game bored me so much I gave up after 2 hours
ID: hk7v95ikeep pushing forward-it’s really solid.
and if you don’t want to, the second game is a much better improvement and it’s a prequel.
ID: hk8yphdI think if you’ve not got into it after a couple of hours it’s not for you. I wanted to like it but something felt clunky to me. I played it until the end and did the DLC, but throughout I was just thinking I’d rather be playing Limbo or Inside.
-
Not even close. Still considered an indie title whether it is or not.
ID: hk7l66a“Headline IP” doesn’t mean “AAA GOTY Blockbuster: COD killer”.
They’re just saying it’s an IP worth putting more of their time and effort into and has a big enough following to merit calling one of the “headline” or main titles that they create.

Loved the first game. The 2nd game seemed way more difficult/frustrating and repetitive. I'd play a third game, but it's not a series I'm crazy about.
-
What I've played of the first game was great but I haven't finished it because the controls are the most difficult part of the game. So frustrating when you die over and over because the controls suck and not because the game itself is hard.

Whatever they make next I'm ready for. Little nightmares was such an amazing series.
