The only GTA Trilogy I can approve right now.

I played san andreas when it released back in 2004 and I thought it was one of the best and (best looking) games I ever played.
I haven't played the game since then, well until yesterday, since it's free on gamepass. It does kinda feel like it's touched up, especially the lighting and the cars, but also the trees, grass and stuff like that, buildings look kinda better too, and it feels like they added some artwork too.
But the characters and washed out textures (especially on the roads and buildings) really reminds you how old this game is.
I still find it a more enjoyable game than the story mode of gta V though, I don't know why, maybe it's just nostalgia. I wouldn't pay for it though, well not 60$.

ID: hlwmkhrDunno if you've played it, but American Fugitive feels like a modern day version, set it small town America with a top down view. Would recommend.

There are old glitches still present.
Characters look like playdough, many hardly look like the old characters they used to represent.
They turned a hexagonal nut into a sphere.
There are much fewer cars to use.
I think game-breaking bugs were actually introduced.It probably couldn't get much worse.

ID: hlwwq3jThey used ai to convert the old renderware stuff into unreal for a re make. The results are….un real. It needed another solid 12 months before release. I believe it’ll be used to quickly port I’ve remote classic games they’ll release once a year

Currently playing through San Andreas on PC, as a kid, I never got past wrong side of the tracks.
I did it first try.... despite actually dying on the very first mission lmao.

What a shitshow money grab our beloved hobby has become.. It used to be about money but also about putting out something nice and innovative. Now it's just: how can we make the most money with the least effort.
I know indy devs are still trying to make good games .. But they just can't make something as big because the don't have the resources.
