Loved fall of man. Retribution was also a great game, and i Loved this series.

Insomniac posts about this series on Insta.

Hopefully, they ramp up to a new game or remaster.

I would pay a lot of money for this trilogy remastered and ported to PC. There's a lot of games that are stuck on the PS3 that I'd like to play on a modern system.

ID: hnkkxrq

The Resistance trilogy and Killzone trilogy were my favorite games that I had on PS3. I'm in the same boat where I'd pay a lot of money for a PS5 remaster or PC port

ID: hnkpu9x

Resistance 3 is avaible at PS Now

ID: hnktmpo

They've been posting constantly about it since the final servers went down. They always support their old games with celebrations and random pics and so on. I really hope we one day get a new game...

fun fact: (if i remember correctly) loading into this game, ejecting the disc, and then putting Modern Warfare 2 in the console would essentially revert MW2 to an older patch where most mods/hacks/glitches would still work. you could even find online lobbies full of people running the game on the older patch

ID: hnktz59

Correct, would also work on COD4 too, unfortunately your config file size had to remain the same as the original file but you could adjust things such as the FOV and play online on an older patch. Believe you had to switch the disc on load up, then on the first level you had to immediately pause and quit, that would then put you onto COD.

but why would that work?

Shooting through walls with an auger blew my mind.

ID: hnkrgum

Fuck me I forgot all about this. I fucking need this game on pc NOW

ID: hnksatb

I would play non stop holy shit

ID: hnkeay7

It really changed things up didn't it?

5 : Anonymous2021/12/07 01:10 ID: hnj92no

Resistance 2 had so a fun co-op. I enjoyed the whole franchise.

ID: hnjkmmy

This series was wonderful. I was saddened when it ended. But the way online games are now a days. Maybe it's for the best hahahha.

ID: hnjq0qt

1 and 2 for sure. 3 was a hot mess. It was sad too because it was the only other game with support for the sharpshooter besides killzone 3 and socom 4.

There was a game called Warhawk that came out at the exact same time as this did for the PlayStation 3. Would you believe people are still playing it online now? I’m one of them it is so much fun

ID: hnjufz2

Oh my GOD Warhawk was the most fun i have ever had in a multiplayer game! So many after school evenings spent on this game!

ID: hnjvrqy

Not many players left but they are good! We usually fill up 1 ‘or 2 servers per night. No since all that ply are 30-40 now….. games die around 11pm cuz old folks need sleep

ID: hnkkj45

MAG was hella fun too

ID: hnkneto

MAG feels like a fever dream to me, nobody I ever talk to remembers it, was the first game I can think of with such huge multiplayer matches

ID: hnjzbn1

I've never heard anyone else ever mention Warhawk. I loved that game.

ID: hnk1let

Starhawk was the shit as well. Absolutely loved the base building elements.

ID: hnk2rfv

I had legs but I couldn’t get behind it. I guess I expected a better version of Warhawk and it went a completely new direction

ID: hnkp22c

Resistance and Warhawk were both so much fun. Those early PS3 days where they were slowly starting to drip out PS3 exclusives that were all kinda weird and different from every other game was a kind of golden age for me and my friends. Resistance was the first online shooter i played the shit out of at home. Then Warhawk.

I will never forget the first time playing warhawk by using someone elses account to get into the beta. Me and a buddy playing CTF and having a warhawk plane chase after us while we were in a jeep was so dope.

ID: hnjuwzb

I loved playing that game with my little brother

More games need couch co-op like this had.

I remember sleeping over at friend's to play through the campaign.

ID: hnks525

Jeep driver + gunner felt really fun to play with someone.

Imagine a ps5 remake

Imagine a ps5

9 : Anonymous2021/12/07 01:10 ID: hnj93uw

I remember coming home from school and hopping into some multiplayer. Absolutely fell in love with the franchise. Such a shame that the series died, would be insane on PS5, and I truly think it would sell

ID: hnklryd

Manchester sniper only maps

ID: hnj9nyf

I think they exhausted their ideas. How many games did they make?

ID: hnjbgf1

There was a ton!

and the original version, so 5 in total. Although, retribution and burning skies were for PSPs so not very long

10 : Anonymous2021/12/07 02:12 ID: hnjhpmq

I loved this series due to the awesome world building Insomniac did. The only issue (which in my opinion, killed the series) was that they never quite stick with an identity for all of it's part, even if the whole story was completely unique.

R1 had a great campaign and multiplayer for many players

R2 had a CoD like campaign which was the odd part of it and an absolutely amazing multiplayer for both PvP and coop.

R3 went back to the campaign style that made R1 great, but then they went the CoD route for multiplayer.

Retribution is absolutely dope on all fronts, but PSP. The Vita one wasn't anything special.

I honestly would freaking love a continuation to, at least, finish the story or a proper reboot.

ID: hnkjmt8

R1 had such a good fucking campaign man one of the most immersive fps I’ve played

11 : Anonymous2021/12/07 01:10 ID: hnj959z

bro dont get me crying

12 : Anonymous2021/12/07 05:24 ID: hnk66bf

The stories were best told through scientific research documents. This was the most logical method to tell a story about an enemy with which you couldn't communicate.

13 : Anonymous2021/12/07 01:43 ID: hnjdov2

All this does is make me feel old.

ID: hnk7zh8

In my mind, “retro” stops with the PS2. Anything newer than that is, and always will be, a modern game.

14 : Anonymous2021/12/07 01:11 ID: hnj9apm

Ah yes, my ex gf. Been a long time.

15 : Anonymous2021/12/07 01:52 ID: hnjezfi

I remember playing this as a kid and having nightmares after the chimera facility level in Grimsby . Good times.

16 : Anonymous2021/12/07 01:45 ID: hnjdv7w

This was a fantastic game at the time

17 : Anonymous2021/12/07 01:14 ID: hnj9nwb

Spent my first couple paychecks from my first job at subway just to get a ps3 bundled with this game, and an extra controller. I was so excited. Personally love this game so much more than Halo. Was just more fun to me. I miss it.

18 : Anonymous2021/12/07 01:50 ID: hnjekr4

Bruh this game was lit, got it when the original fat ps3 dropped. Chimera were some savages from what I remember.

19 : Anonymous2021/12/07 04:49 ID: hnk2ci1

This is one series that need a real reboot.. not a remaster, not a reimagining, not remake, but plain old new start.

The sad thing is Insomniac is working on more awesome projects. (Yes, it is sad for this franchise, as much as I like their new games).

20 : Anonymous2021/12/07 04:31 ID: hnk0cvl

Best gun variety of any FPS I have ever played.

21 : Anonymous2021/12/07 02:05 ID: hnjgpr3

Still have my launch PS3 with copy of this game. So good.

22 : Anonymous2021/12/07 06:05 ID: hnka7gh

I got to QA test this game and I'm even in the credits!

It was a job with Sony over the summer while I was in college. I remember in an alpha build, since my team tested multiplayer, the dev tweaked the fire damage so badly it was instant overheat and death.

One bug I found involved shooting at the sky and crashing the game.

Fun times.

Used to have a PSP to play this games
