I was really hyped for this game as I’m a huge fan of the show and the thought of playing multiplayer seemed great, but when learning the entire game was 30 frames for next-gen (along with no dualsense features) I decided to wait.
When the news of 60 frames dropped I bought the game without reading the fine print (which was all on me) and was shocked to find out that the devs have decided that only the campaign will be 60 frames, and that online multiplayer, arguably the most important part and best part of a fighting game, will remain at 30 frames for next-gen to not have an advantage over last-gen.
I’m still dumbfounded at that decision.
ID: hnv1nzyID: hnw1jvoDid you feel like your game was freezing whenver you use any Ultimate? Because those ultimate cutscenes are still 30fps for some reason. So it was a bit jarring when I went from 60fps to 30fps within a second.

ID: hnv909fThe game doesn't even support cross play does it? Like if you have the ps5 version you will only be placed in lobbies with other ps5 players? At last that's what Google says and if that's the case then there's no reason online shouldn't be 60fps
ID: hnva4qsI’m pretty sure PS4 and PS5 lobbies are combined for this game, hence the devs decisions on framerate.
ID: hnvexojThat decision is definitely to lower the strain of their servers. It's instantly half as much workload, so if the dev team is small then I completely get it.
ID: hnwr8q1A fighting game should be played over P2P, so server load shouldn't have anything to do with it. It's probably because netcode is tied to framerate for god knows what reason, and they can't fix it.

I really hope they keep up with the free updates with season 2. We need more Hashiras on the roster

this game felt rushed, the first season of the anime and even the movie have very few important characters. adding tamayo and yushiro just feels like why? its like adding mr.popo from dbz. A playable character i didnt want to play
ID: hnwrvy1The anime only just got to the end of Mugen train now, if they wait a bit more for more story first it won’t be til end of 2022 before we get a Kimetsu game.
They can make a DLC for the next anime arc (even paid DLC is fine).

Yay, loving all these new characters.
After Kanao there are no more to add this game I think, no more characters that are appearing up to Mugen Train.
Unless they really want to add the likes of the Swordsmith and such.

I hate this game just based on the length of its name, and hearing it repeatedly during some podcasts I was listening to.

I haven’t tested the multiplayer yet cause it feels so good to play the single player in 60 FPS, and I don’t wanna be disappointed lol
