- I may have missed a few but those are all that i can remember. What’s your favorite?
-
Mine’s is REmake’s main hall, something about it is so phenomenal. Revelations main hall is pretty good as well.
-
RE2 with the original music. Also, the level designers clearly have a major chub for dual/split staircases. Like, every game.
ID: hql7gz1ID: hqlin65I just saw two play throughs of re2, on the ps1 it didn't have that music. On the GameCube with updated graphics it did. I never realized that the music was newish till I saw those lol
ID: hqlvbnzThe main hall music definitely played on Resi 2 on PS1 unless you mean a different version of the song? You sure the play through you watched wasn’t an emulated glitch?
ID: hqlivunWeird. I played the original on N64 and it had the music.
-
RE2 all the way. Although the hall pretended to have an atmosphere of safety, the ability that Mr. X has to come and take it all away makes it the best in my opinion.
ID: hqkdqmbIt’s even better with b scenarios where some zombies actually show up in the main hall.
ID: hqkq05qTrue true. Also it was nice seeing it in RE3
ID: hqkz3xwAlso no fuckin storage box in the main hall
ID: hql612lEspecially when the original. Soundtrack for hallway starts. To me, it tells me it's the start of a true nightmare
-
I’d have to go with 0 since the Code: Veronica’s main hall is not listed.
ID: hqkdds2Dammit I knew i was missing something. Although RE0 is an interesting one actually it’s definitely quiet nice.. UNTIL THE FUCKING MONKEYS STARTS SHOWING UP
-
Village, revelations and re2
-
Resident evil 7. It’s atmosphere is the most different from the others.
ID: hqlncqfI like the lived in feel of the Baker House. It made it kinda more terrifying because it was regular, unsuspecting people whose lives got destroyed/ended due to the Connections.
ID: hqm17q5Yes, the atmosphere of 7 kind of made the whole game. Absolutely amazing
-
1, 2, and 8.
-
Best is 1 but 0 had the dread, something sinister feel even though it really didn’t deliver to much on that. RE2 was awesome because it gave you false hope of being safe. The rest to me feels more like levels although beautiful design.
-
1 and 7
-
Village
-
Probably either the original RE2 or VII.
-
Definitely the original.
-
RE2 for that main hall theme. It's one of the top five tracks of the franchise easily. Instantly recognizable. I refuse to play with REmakes soundtrack specifically so I can listen to RE 2's original track.
-
Revelations it looks amazing and then the music that goes along with it man it's just great
-
Training facility! The music and sound design in that game are excellent. I like the looping ambient soundscape that plays when you are in or near the main hall, and diminishes or cuts off the further you branch out.
-
REmakes setting was god tier
-
OG RE1.
-
RE3
-
7s is my favorite. The first time I played 7 was amazing, and something that always feels nice to see is the details that show a place is used for it's purpose. You got the pictures of the family, the messy tables, all that stuff. Just feels like the set all comes together, and then there's the fact you can feel safety from the outside, and it's right there, so soon, but you gotta fight to get out you know?
RE2make feels the same, with the police station lobby being converted into a makeshift infirmary or a sorts, and Nemesis being able to negate the "safe room" feeling of it halfway through the game.
1 is a classic and is nice, but it feels too eerily clean. And I guess most of the mansion feels that way. I get its to prevent revealing the surprise that the lab is hidden underneath, but you'd expect the mansion to be more lived in, like I don't remember there being any living quarters in the lab and I assume workers don't drive from Raccoon City to the mansion in the middle of the woods every day to work, but the most we see of it being lived in is that one room with the Itchy Tasty note, and I guess maybe the study where you find the lighter. More of a nitpick but it doesn't detract from the game to be fair.
0 is meh, I chalk it up to me not enjoying 0 even though I feel like I should, like, it's fucking zombies on a train, that's rad! But it just feels like Spenser Mansion did it better.
7 is a Good one, but seeing as it's not something you see all the time, or ever come back to, it kinda loses out on not being that memorable, just "another room" and honestly I was too busy looking for treasures and trying to run past Big D to take in the design.
-
It's a tie between REmake and RE2 OG. REmake did an awesome job of bringing that foreboding atmosphere and mystery, while my nostalgia goggles for RE2 are still going strong.
-
Intense claustrophobia
-
only played 1, 2, 7, and 8, but definitely prefer 1. spencer mansion is just genius level design
-
Where it all began
-
Thats kinda hard to decide. I really like Village, Revelations and REmake. Those 3, the main halls look so gorgeous and detailed. But if i can only pick one ill pick Village. The woodwork and gold on the stairs and walls look phenomenal. The chandelier that hangs from the ceiling is beautiful and the lighting has a nice feel as well.
-
REmake 1. None of these gave me that dread feeling when coming back and finding your partners missing.
-
Training facility soundtrack is very chilling. Another piece of evidence why RE0 is underrated.
-
Spencer Mansion hands down. It is legendary
-
Spencers by far, great ambiance and a sense of impending doom.
-
REmake.
-
First one. No contest.
-
Has to be Resident Evil 2, closely followed by Resident Evil 1. I really like REVII too.
-
I'm staying with the "classics" with 1,2 and 0
-
RE2 no question.
-
RE2 absolutely
-
Re2 I also like revelations for its music and huge clock feature
-
Resident evil 1. Inspiration for them all. Including other games like evil within and tormented souls.
-
REmake
-
It’s hard to beat the original, or REmake I suppose for this topic. It’s a classic and if you say “Resident Evil” it is probably the first image that pops into my head. That being said, I also loved RE7, it felt like a slight spin on the classic which I always enjoy.
-
Revelation is my favorite but that’s probably because I like the aesthetic
