- I wish we could explore more parts of Raccoon City the same way we get to explore the villages in RE4 & RE8
-
RE8 village, that has like 30 citizens, feels actually bigger than Raccoon City in RE3make. This is so, so sad, especially since even in OG RE3 Raccoon City felt much larger (due to being interconnected and more explorable).
RC is my favorite setting and I wish we could see more of it in RE engine, but its no longer possible [*]
ID: hqhyxggID: hqhopb1Remake ORC , get rid of the shooting Leon bit to make it canon , ? , profit
ID: hqhpd5dFor real, ORC could be an amazing game, if done properly. Especially its DLC was awesome.
ID: hqhrye6Seriously. I know it will never happen; but I would kill for ORC in the new engine.
ID: hqknqb3If CAPCOM ever decides to remake it, I want to see Vector, Four eyes, Stalker and etc outfits to look more in line with Hunks design, cus like, why would soldiers from the same team wear seperate outfits each ? I understand that it's to make them visually stand out from each other but it doesn't make sense.

Resident Evil 3 Remake was a great opportunity for that, but nope :v
ID: hqhfe91Can’t agree more! I was so disappointed about RE3. The game has a great potential, but Capcom just rush it out with that “no one playing” Resistance. I love the whole system of RE3, it will be much better if it came with a mercenaries mode.
ID: hqhzvfhthey should have honestly expanded the game and story similar to how ffvii remake did. obviously not to the same length or anything but the original re3 was notoriously short and they could have used the opportunity to give us more of the city
ID: hqiimwxTwo separate dev teams
ID: hqi49hzNail, may i introduce you to head?
ID: hqhw6atAbsolutely
ID: hqj5tzgthe out of bounds videos for RE3 show so much wasted potential. I know the original RE3 was short and the remake was in that style but it didn't have to be. raccoon city is such an awesome setting I enjoyed exploring in bite and pieces through RE2, RE3, and the outbreak games, and even Operation Raccoon City, I would love to be able to explore it again in a single game with the new engine
-
Crossing my fingers for some sort of “semi” open world RE set in raccoon. I’d crap myself with excitement. So much possibility there.
ID: hqhij9qI would guess that, as long as the Resident Evil series is active, we'll receive occasional returns to the events of 1998 Raccoon City.
-
If Capcom ever makes a larger explorable Raccoon city I would like to see at least one raccoon in it.
ID: hqis4kxB.O.W. raccoons
-
Raccoon City is my obsession.
I can still map the city out by memory. I'd spend hours poring over it's streets and details. It just fascinates me. I'd love to see another thorough return to it in the future.
-
We did that in OG RE3, and it was pretty cool, wish they did that with the 'remake'.
-
We were robbed of this because RE3 was a very, very shameless cash grab. Almost enough to kill the goodwill I'd built up for Capcom. They're lucky 2 was so good...
-
It would've been RE3 remake's job actually. Missed opportunity there. There's literally more RC gameplay in the OG than in the remake, as I remember.
-
Bring back Outbreak! There were so many cool parts of RC in those games, plus all the stuff from the scrapped File 3
-
This is honestly what alot of us want. Just a bigger scope of the city during the infection. I'm still hoping for an outbreak remake.
-
Hear me out. A game with an explorable racoon city from the perspective of an average citizen trying to escape the outbreak.
ID: hqj6cihIf something like this ever happens, I hope the game is extremely disturbing and sad all around. Seeing the character’s family turn or die. Loved ones chewing on loved ones. Things like that. REmake 2 brought back a bit of the darkness RE used to have along with the lovably awkward comedy. A darker game set in Raccoon City with the protagonist dying at the end would be awesome. It would also make sense for them to die, since otherwise it’d really undermine Leon, Claire, Jill, and Carlos’ achievement of surviving that mess
ID: hqj894sI agree with it all except dying at the end. The outbreak files had loads of possible survivors.
-
Outbreak pretty much accomplished this but getting a copy or two will cost you a penny
so many fans outcry for ourbreak maybe it will convince them?
-
Please outbreak file remakes (it’ll never happen, but I can dream dammit)
-
So many areas under utilised in the remake. Even non locations like reporters offices and pharmacy. Very little exploring
-
If resident evil was made by ubisoft, then your wish should have fullfilled.
-
Resident Evil Outbreak file 1 and 2. The people want a remake!
-
I truly thought Remake3 would do this, and we would use the subway train to visit other parts of the city and rescue survivors (before Nemmy makes all your efforts futile)
-
Would recommend checking out og re3 and outbreak for more exploration
-
Would love some kind of open world Resident Evil like RDR or Gta
ID: hqjh8v8I posted before seeing you comment, but what you think about something like this:
"One cool way to explore RC would be a metroidvania like genre, I'll explain, calm down. Imagine that would have a huge semi open area of the city, with lots of places to explore/loot and enemies to deal, similar to the first silent hills. That hub area would link to a lot of smaller areas like the hospital, RPD, zoo, etc. Some areas of the hub would be locked in the beginning that you would be able to enter after getting the item needed to open it on one of the smaller ones, like getting the bolt cutters in the cemetery and using it to get access to the zoo. And each new area reached would make the hub area harder, cuz opening new areas would give access to BOW flood the streets. You could meet some survivors that you could help to get supplies or even ways to reach new areas. Having means to craft ammo and supplies would be nice too, and after crafting a lot you would become better and getting better itens when crafting. Playing with a John/jane doe that just happens to get caught in the mess is always a treat. And slowly getting better and better at using guns, running, hiding, carrying stuff is also a good mechanic."

there should be an open world game like dying light set in raccoon city

This is why they seriously need to do a remake or squeals to the Outbreak series. I loved all the different levels as a chance to explore other areas of RC. I mean the Zoo level in file 2 was awesome. And the Hospital was cool too.
-
Well, maybe in a future Outbreak remake we can explore a lot more.
-
They seriously fucked this up. Village needed a "village" or at least more people or even NPCs to recruit. RE3 remake is joke in comparison to village and village needs work.

The could remake the outbreak games someday still. Not totally impossible yet
