- The remaster we really need
-
They’d remaster it with a battle pass and no option for couch co-op

A remaster or a faithful remake and by faithful I just mean kinda how Capcom handled resident evil 2 & 3 so keep pretty much everything the same just modernise it
ID: hr4xjl2This is EA. Legolas and Gimli would be locked behind a battle pass. Anduril, Sting, and Glamdrig would be behind Lootboxes.
ID: hr4xrraYeah...... Although there's no saying a different studio couldn't do it take the demon souls remake for example
-
God I loved this game
-
Who remembers fighting the ghost king and the ghost army???
-
You'd really trust EA with a treasured childhood memory?
ID: hr4nhfhAhhh haha no no. I’d cast them into the fire
-
I wouldnt mind a few of the lotr games to get remakes but what I really want is a massive open world singleplayer rpg. Preferably not following movies but could be same timeline or even set when the rings were first forged
ID: hr4mdf3A prequel open world would be brill. Choose a race, build your own story. Good/evil choices. Like imagine a LOTR style, Star Wars KOTR. (I know they have the LOTR online but, all about that single player experience here) :). Familiar locations to visit, nods to certain characters
ID: hr4mrogYes yes & more yes.
ID: hr4mt6kMiddle earth: shadow of mordor and middle earth: shadow of war would propably be your best bet then
ID: hr4p08iPlayed both & while they were good they are not want I'm looking for. I wouldnt consider either to be an actual rpg. I see them both a action games with rpg elements.

Remasters are always a disappointment, I’ve kept all my old consoles and games because you can’t beat the nostalgia of them. Played a few remasters on my newer consoles and found them to be horrible!
ID: hr4ljqfI hear that man. I’ve still got my 360/got a ps2 cheap last year with a bundle of games. Kept the Covid lockdowns here in the uk fun 🙂
ID: hr4wmyzI disagree that they are ALWAYS a disappointment. Been some decent once’s. More recently (even EA game) was the Mass Effect Legendary Edition. Solid remaster that stays true to the original games while providing some decent QOL and graphic updates. Got to be careful what you wish for, because I also wanted a GTA Vice City remaster and here we are….
-
Agreed, I’d love a remaster of this. Such a fun co op game.
ID: hr4lom4See, I’m a huge LOTR/Tolkien geek. This game was more than that though…just an all round, awesome game
-
I’m on board. This game was awesome! One of the few movie games I can not only say I enjoyed but I actually put on par with other favs. So many movie games are just trash so when one is good I find it extra special.
-
It works well on windows 10 for the PC version and you can find a copy for next to nothing online. That lets you play at 1080p or 4K and looks great.
ID: hr4njkmShweeeeet, I’ll give it a whirl
-
YES and also Two Towers, I loved those games
-
This game was fucking awesome! I actually played it with my brother before even seeing the movie.
-
Yes, that was much a fun game.
-
Eh, if we were bringing one game back, I’d totally go for Third Age over return of the king.
RotK would be a solid second place, though. Battle for Middle Earth 2 would be third.
Man, when you really think about it, LoTR had some fuckin amazing games.
-
Would never ever happen. But it'd be cool to at least get a steam release or something
-
Take my free award, whatever the hell it is.
-
I remember when i was as shop and wanted to buy Conquest but i was too young, but i did bought this game instead, one of best deals in my life
-
Totally agree with this!
-
Those games are too difficult for the game market today. I'd love a remaster, but I fear it wouldn't be the same.
-
Oh. Oh no. No thank you
