Reminds me of when I was playing uncharted 4 while my sister was in the room, as soon as it switched back to game play she started yelling about how she thought I was watching a tv show lol

As in, which professional teams were on TV, not which one of us was playing the game. It's hilarious to think about looking back now, but we all felt that way.

ID: hsnwpj5It's crazy because I once walked into the room and my dad was playing NFL 2k2. It was after a play so the camera was on players walking around and stuff and I legit thought I was watching a real football game untill he started to choose his play and then it shifted to the typical behind the line camera. Looking back on those graphics now I truly don't understand how I could think that shit was real.

ID: hsoebupBack in 2005 my dad came in while I was watching the opening cutscene of gun and asked what film I was watching. We both talked about how super realistic the graphics were.
I'm convinced there's no such thing as "photorealistic graphics" your brain just takes the best graphics you've ever seen and thinks "these are the most realistic graphics I've seen and reality is the most realistic thing I've seen so they must be the same" and then you think the game looks "photorealistic".
The "best" graphics will always look photorealistic then when you re-watch later they look shit because there's a new "best" graphics.

Not sure in this case but typically photo mode really lets the hardware go all out rendering the main character because they can cut a lot of processes that aren't being used. LOD can be used this way too if the character is really close to the screen. Besides that, I think the most compelling feature is probably the reflections being so accurate.
ID: hsnnj0mYes, that game is cheating and effectively doing a render instead of a screenshot. The game does look good, but photo mode is not a fair representation of that.
ID: hsoar60It's always real-time rendering. It's just that in photo mode they don't have animation, physics, AI, etc. It's a static scene
ID: hsomu92Whoever took this photo also did a very good job at adjusting the exposure and lighting effects to make it look like a real thought I would look on a real day. The way the light hits the tree and blow it out a little, and the buildings in the background looks like natural daylight, and that’s not always the case when you just hit photo mode and immediately take a picture on default settings.

I know saying this is gonna make me sound I unfun, but it doesn’t look real to me… maybe the image was compressed during upload? It must look better on the console/tv screen itself, I would imagine. Still very awesome, can’t wait to get a PS5 of my own someday!

ID: hsnpjopMonopoly on NES is still the best monopoly. That stamp when you buy land is too good. Even paying rent feels good when the cash register eats your money one bill at a time.

For me it's a bit off. Looking at the sky the lighting shouldn't be this crisp. It looks like solid gray skies but the lighting looks like sunshine in the afternoon.

I can't wait I snagged a PS5 from Walmart website yesterday getting next week Friday. I am a huge fan of Spiderman and wanted the games in my life but I had no rush to pay a scalper or go down to a PS4 I still have my PC after all. I am super excited to finally get my hands on this game and also Bloodborne.
