Damn, despite the controversy with BF2, I played the shit out of that game.

ID: hu9bzi0My brother has been playing a ton of this game these last few months and it’s honestly like 50-50 whether or not he gets into a match that isn’t hacked. From what I’ve seen and played, it’s actually a pretty great game now but it’s just a nightmare to get a reliable game.
ID: huaiq0iBF2 at its core was an awesome game! What ruined its possible success was the mtx. After they removed it, the game did really well, they added good content even though they could’ve kept adding more.

Wtf are they doing? Its taking them this long to release a damn leaderboard. They should just cut their losses. I don't see how they can make 2042 a good game if they don't even realise what made battlefield good in the first place.
They don't listen to anyone telling them what they are doing wrong. If they did, shit wouldn't be so wrong.
ID: hu8heq4Haven't you seen the tweet 1 or 2 weeks ago? Including a scoreboard is a monumental task which requires resources and time. I rephrased it but that was the message from the tweet. Really ridiculous when you think about the fact that an employed adult dev tweets something like this. There were of course some other things as well but scoreboard was one of the main points.

Ya don't have to have worked on the previous battlefields to know what made them good. All it takes is some research and actually listening to the battlefield vets.

ID: huacny5At a minimum, every single person in DICE leadership should be shown the door. This is an epic failure of leadership and absolutely no solid direction. Their lack of willingness to even hear the community is shocking. This company is terrible and deserves every bit of backlash they receive for this mess. I’m glad I got a refund for this dumpster fire. I don’t want another Battlefield game from this dev team. I’d rather the series die than watch it evolve into whatever the hell they are doing to it.

Battlefront 2 started off horrible bought the game day 1 but to the developers credit they fixed and added content to the game over the years sad we ain’t getting a another entry

Not surprised at all tbh but still disheartening to hear. I do wonder how bf3 would have turned out if it ever got made, I'd hope the launch wouldn't be as disastrous as bf2 but it's EA so they'd fuck it up somehow.

Well after that blunder of a screw up they’ve made for themselves with 2042, it’d be foolish of them to try to work on a new Battlefront title. Heck it’d be better to have someone else work on that instead this time.

It'd probably be way more productive and profitable to make a Star Wars game but oh well, SW BF2 Id argue in its finished state is alot better than BFV and BF2042 so I don't understand why they decide to abandon a well known almost bulletproof IP to keep adding to an IP thats sinking, maybe just me though.

Shame. Absolutely loved Battlefront 2 after it got much better. As for Battlefield, not the biggest fan of it but 1 was the last good game in the series imo.

Could be a good thing with the Respawn announcement about the three games they are developing, including a FPS.
