- Gamers, what is a videogame, that you SHOULDN'T play after a rough day at work?
-
League of Legends
ID: hvux237ID: hvuyhlyI really enjoy league. It allows me to hyperfocus on last hitting minions for a few minutes, and then widen my horizons and engage my critical thinking and diplomacy skills to gather my team and fight for victory.
ID: hvvbo2vCame to say this. Recently i stopped playing for good, after 7 years of mental torture.
ID: hvvhtcbRanking system is really bad in my opinion, specially that a single person on your team is a troll. I stopped following 3 years ago, not sure if they changed ranking system so apologies if I am wrong
ID: hvvctipUrf or nothing!
ID: hvvdu9vHaven't played it in for years. Haven't played it seriously (everyday, following the meta, etc) in about six. Best gaming decision Ive made.
But still, LoL was what instantly came to me when i read that question. Whata cesspit of a community

warzone ,league of legends and valorant

Darkest Dungeon like the post suggests. What a punishing game! Another one from me would be Below, even on a normal day it can be super frustrating.
ID: hvvidpuIf you play brutal games enough, the difficulty stops being stressful. At least with games where failure isn't the end. It starts becoming like a puzzle that you can focus on solving.
-
Any pvp game
ID: hvvc9roI play exclusively single player games ever since I got a full time job. The last thing I want to do after a long day of work is get spammed by some 12 year old.
ID: hvvcqufSame, there's some exception like Borderlands 3, Division 2.. I play with my friends and it's good we have fun. But I couldn't stand playing with a 12yo that keeps screaming.
ID: hvvacscAgreed. It’s not an escape if I have to interact with people.
-
Rocket League. People are so toxic and if I have a bad day it really gets to me and I end up playing worse.
ID: hvvggl8Especially on pc, I met a bunch of toxic players literally right after I switched to pc when it became free
-
Overwatch Comp. Even though I still do.
ID: hvvescdI got stressed out just thinking about playing comp OW at the end of the day. Some Mayhem though.. that’s my jam after a stressful day. Comp is for weekends or random days off in the middle of the week.
-
Anything that requires teamwork and with other players.
ID: hvvg86gI disagree. A few rounds of Deep Rock Gactic are the perfect thing to unwind. Granted, I can play that game with my eyes closed by now.
ID: hvvh434That’s pretty much the exception I’d say. That game is chill af
-
Tarkov.
ID: hvvabzn100% hell I’ve had a few bad raids in Tarkov ruin an awesome day
ID: hvve8dfOn my 3rd wipe and I'm finally able to shrug off most deaths.
-
And competitive game. Especially fighting games.
-
Overwatch. Tbh I never should play it for it makes me toxic af.
-
Overwatch.
-
Frostpunk. For one I found it absolutely impossible to put down once I started, and completed the main campaign (if you don't know the game: it's just one level that keeps going and going) in a single nine hour sitting, and also "bleak as fuck" doesn't even begin to do it justice. I went in absolutely blind and had no idea that it was all a single continuous level and it would just keep getting harder and harder until eventually The Storm hits and if you did not adequately prepare for it, which you won't know to do if it's your first time, you don't have any idea how prepared is prepared enough and it's already too late to properly prepare anyway so I ended up having approximately half of my settlement freeze to death, 0 hope, and like 95% discontent by the time the storm finally broke

Overwatch.
Particularly competitive, solo queue, as tank or support. Just... no.
(Edit: upvotes for all the other Overwatch mentions. Stay strong, my fellow sufferers!)
-
Destiny 2 competitive.
ID: hvvbqqhAlternatively Destiny 2 Master content
-
Cuphead
ID: hvves90I disagree, mainly cause it's my favorite game
ID: hvvk487Came here to say this. Cuphead is an amazing game, but it makes me want to snap my controller in half on a good day, much less when I need to decompress after work.
For stress relief, Katamari is my goto. Something about rolling up all my problems and shooting them into space to make stardust is so cathartic

Rainbow six siege

This picture is awesome
-
League of legends, CSGO, valorant, call of duty, name your online coms spice

If it’s weekday, fuck adulthood, I quit playing during it. Because you get off work, your mind and mentality is exhausted and keep thinking of the next day and how you will manage it. Mental state has fucked up my hobby! However, on weekends, I prefer wakeup super early, play every game that is there…
ID: hvvcl3rbro, you are speaking out of my soul. I feel the exact same way. Work has me too exhausted to spend time on my hobby and gaming.
-
Fifa 22
-
Definitely Escape from Tarkov
-
RUST just don’t
-
Job simulator vr
-
any grindy RPG game, after a day of work the only thing I don't want is more work.
-
Overwatch and Team Fortress 2
-
any ranked mode, you gotta steer way from those and do more fun and mindless stuff.
-
Dark souls
ID: hvuyky5Disagree. Those are my zen games.
ID: hvuy7jsNaw, dark souls I found to be pretty relaxing, especially late game. Competitive games on the other hand...
ID: hvv7o8rFrustration with life really dicks my dodge timing, which builds frustration with gaming.
It's a vicious cycle.
