ID: hwt7v19It was very easy actually, just tedious. If you do decide to do it, make sure you listen to some music/podcast, will make this chore feel less like a chore.

ID: hwu1p6tOh, wow.. that's... took me 3 hours to beat all of them on SSS lol. The best advice I can give is.. upgrade the pistol and don't get into a corner. Prioritize health over chain combos. That's it. Good luck, but at this point, I'd drop it if I were you. Don't sink too much time into this nonsense 🙂
ID: hwu2zryYeah, I stopped it after like 2 days of trying but I come back every now and then to try it again as it is the last achievement I'm missing:) I'll probably try it again soon.

Two days ago I made a post saying I finished Village of Shadows as my first playthrough (I really did!) and one of the comments (and many people agreeing with it) said I should try and finish The Mercenaries on triple S, implying it would be harder.
Here I am, after just finishing it and I have to say... my opinion is still unchanged. Tedious/long =/= difficult, and after reaching The Castle II it was just going through the motions, really. Nothing difficult, just.. a lot of it. But that's just my opinion, that beating the game on Village of Shadows as my first playthrough was harder.
Still, glad to have done this as well, got to love a fun challenge. If you have any questions about this/the Village of Shadows playthrough let me know, happy to help anyone with anything!

ID: hwsjpuoDon't worry you'll get it. Best advice is don't get cornered, upgrade your pistol and buy pipe bombs whenever possible. Forget getting huge chains since most people don't even beat every section to get SSS, just survive. You got this.

ID: hwsgqyhReally nice achievement, however I think getting the SSS through all the mercenaries is more difficult because if you fuck up a single part during a level it means you gonna have to start all over. Gz
ID: hwsk3vbThanks a lot! I guess it comes down to personal preference. It took me 3-4 hours to get SSS on all mercs, and that's with breaks in between to memorize the enemy spawns. I felt it was a walk in the park, but a very huge park. I can see why people would consider it harder, though.
ID: hwu3swlI think it was Castle 2 and Mad Village 2 that were the biggest pains to get Triple S. The part in Mad Village with the bridge archers was the worst. Congratulations on basically at this point 100 percenting the game, unless you feel like doing some absurd self imposed challenge playthrough like Village of Shadows rocket pistol only.
ID: hwu52f2Thank you sir! Already uninstalled and glad I did so, felt very weird playing this game for an extended period of time for some reason. I found Mad Village II/VillageII to be the easiest ones of the second bunch. Just strafe A/D and they miss you 99% of the time. Also, this felt like a water pistol compared to playing through the Village of Shadows as a first playthrough. Now THAT'S hell.

ID: hwt7onpCannot be bothered man. It's rare enough that I do any bonus section of a story-driven game, only did it to prove a point. Uninstalled already. But it wouldn't be that hard. I'll get downvoted again like I was last post but I don't really care, if I say something I mean it.
