Tom Holland and ‘Uncharted’ Creators Discuss Making the Movie | Creator to Creator

Random story but I booked tickets to see the movie last Monday (14th). Well, seeing as my tolerance break ended a few days prior I decided to get very high and smoked a few bowls before it started. Got to the movies super excited and giggling my ass off, only to get inside and when scanning my ticket the employee says “dude, the movie doesn’t even come out until next week.”
It turns out you could select any date, make it all the way to check out with that date, but when actually completing check out the date would just switch to opening day (21st) if you chose a date before release day lol.
ID: hx74v0tID: hx76b8sYeah it was a little awkward because I’m almost positive he knew I was high and there was about 5 people behind me when he said that so I just walked away quietly lol.
Admittedly I underestimated the flower because it was the first time smoking in 2 months, I got way too high but figured “eh by the time the movie ends I’ll be way more sober”, but when he said that and I left I was standing in front of the theater like “well, fuck, what do I do now?!”

Casting tom as Nathan is almost as believable as Tom cruise as jack reacher , what a shit casting

Alan Ritchson is pretty damn good as Reacher in the Amazon series though so there’s some redemption there.
ID: hx743l7I kind of liked the idea of Jack Reacher being a more "normal" bodied unassuming persion in the movies. It made him kicking the ass of the people that underestimated him more enjoyable. Alan in the show is just an absolute unit, someone you likely would never really underestimate and they make sure to call it out every other scene how big he is. Reacher the TV show is one of the troppiest shows I've seen in awhile, however, I did enjoy it.

ID: hx8pf3vThe entire everything about the movie seems like what the fuck? The trailers made me think they took identifiable set pieces from the games then wanted to figure out how to include them in the movie.
I haven’t seen it nor will I ever pay money to specifically see this movie.

ID: hx6r9npShe's no longer with Sony, and wasn't involved in making the movie as far as I know. The movie is based on uncharted 4's plotline anyway(along with bits of other games) so it makes sense for the director of that game to be present there.
ID: hx7p3dtUncharted 4‘s plotline is from Amy Hennig;-) all the locations etc. was in her original vision. Except no Nadine, different Rafe and Sam as kinda the antagonist as well
ID: hx8arzjIf you mean “pirate treasure” then yeah guess uncharted 4 is its closest influence. But definitely it’s own thing. I thought it was fine, good fun film. I’ve been following the development of this film since 2009, it’s slightly better than I expected. The troubles this film went through, I’m surprised it’s actually real!

I literally have not gone to the movies since Monsters University where my nephew dragged me lmao. But I will ABSOLUTELY show up for the Uncharted movie. Why?

I don't think anyone actually believed this was going to be a good movie. It certainly wasn't true enough to the games.
