I'm planning on upgrading to a 4K tv soon (within a month or two). Probably going with the 65" Sony X900H even though it's a little out of my budget. Was hoping to keep it under 1k but I think it'll be worth the extra $. Currently have an older 55" 1080 Vizio, so this will be a huge upgrade.
I'm wondering what the most colorful and visually intense games for the PS4 are? I was hoping to find a cool racing game (i was imagining something like the Speed Racer movie but as a video game) or something with cool particle effects. Looking for something that will really draw me in visually with vivid colors and/or trippy effects
For now, i'll probably go back and replay some of the games i've already beaten: HZD, Doom, Spiderman (2018) and FF7 Remake to start with. Just beat Ghost of Tsushima and currently playing through Last of Us 2. I may still be on LoU2 by the time I get the new tv. Might replay God of War and RDR2 but it'll be a while before I feel like diving into those games again.
Got any suggestions for really colorful, good looking games? I'm open to any genre as long as it's a fun game and looks good

I'm looking at getting a new TV as well and can't wait to fire up Skyrim and Destiny2, Borderlands3.
ID: gpqcvldI was actually considering Borderlands. I've played all of them but the third so that might be worth picking up.
I'm not big on online playing so I'm not sure about destiny2. It looks great though. I did really enjoy the gameplay and controls on D1 so i may consider giving it another shot.
I only have skyrim on ps3 but I've played it plenty

In my opinion wait for new sony x90j or x95j to release. X900h have some things that were supposed to come along updates but are now cancelled like VRR,etc and x90j or x95j will be also a very good investment and will perfect if u will ever buy ps5 in future,it has all(every single) feature for ps5,x900h also should've but sony cancelled few (not majors) features.
ID: gprv7twoof, looks a little out of my price range. I'm already pushing my budget with the x900h so I can't really afford another $600 on top of that. It does look like a sweet tv though. At some point I'll probably get a PS5 but i usually wait until the systems are out for a few years so the price can drop and the catalog can build up. But I will definitely keep this in mind for the future.

Serious sam collection. Intense shooter games. The games are colorful enough but you can bring the saturation to 2-3x more colorful. Also it's a fun game. The game takes you to many different areas so you can try different colorful levels like snow, grass, sand. I bought it some days ago and right now playing split screen with gf. It's an awesome game collection.
ID: gprwwhcNice! I've seen this one around but haven't ever played it. Just watched a trailer for it and it looks pretty fun. Looks like it would be a blast with a friend. I'll add it to the list

Mafia Definitive edition surprised me. Amazing HDR implementation.
And Nex Machina, for sure.
ID: gpry0s2Never got around to Mafia but it looks fun. Might be worth pickup up the Definitive edition.
Haven't heard of Nex Machina but just watched a trailer for it. This is exactly the kind of stuff I was looking for! Definitely checking this one out. Thanks for the suggestions

Hmm. Hard to say which vivid/trippy game would look good on big screen. Borderlands perhaps?
ID: gpsj8g6Yeah, I think once i get everything set up I'm going to pick up the third one since I haven't played it yet.

Thanks for the suggestion. I was hoping for something a little more fast paced but looks like it might be a cool puzzle game
