I’m so damn excited for the upcoming PSVR2.

At this time I only have an Oculus Go which I bought like 3 years ago for porn lol. But I'm definitely also very interested in quality VR gaming, but don't have a gaming PC and don't really plan on getting one. PSVR2 will hopefully be my lord and savior here. It shall be my first proper 6DOF headset ever. I have a feeling that the first headset was a bit of a testing ground or an experiment for Sony, but they'll probably go all out with the next one. I expect a lot more AAA type quality titles. I also hope it'll will be backwards compatible with all the current major PSVR titles. I already want to play so much stuff that's out for the current model. RE7, Saints & Sinners, Hitman 3, Doom 3, Blood & Truth, Farpoint, etc. Oh my. Thank you Sony for believing in VR and see you soon.

I'm very excited about it also and I might buy it pretty soon after its release. I just got a PS5 and setting up my v1 PSVR was bit of a hassle. There's so many cords and since the old VR power box doesn't let HDR through I have to switch cables when I want to play VR games. I really hope there will be much less cables and of course better resolution, accurary etc.

They did say that they plan on just having only one cable that's just a usb that plugs into the front of the PS5

Virtually nothing has been announced about it, except that it's definitely not coming this year. You might want to just pick up a PSVR if you already have a console

I don't. I haven't been gaming in like 15 years. And I was a PC gamer back then. PS5 will be my first console actually. VR gaming is my main interest though. I'll just wait for the PSVR2 release and then I'll buy both PS5 and the headset in one move, provided the reviews are good.

If it's not backwards compatible it would be a travesty to lose the library that was made for the original psvr....unless there's a way for PS5 games to be made into VR via the upcoming headset. I initially was going to wait till legit gen 2, of VR came out by Playstation, but demo'ing at Best Buy in 2016 blew me away. I've had cousins try it, that have the Go and say how much better psvr is than that.

I'd be sad if the previous library isn't BC, but man retrofitting PS Move inputs onto a newer controller via emulation would be a real bitch. Props to Sony if they do manage to make it an automated process somehow.

I might be in the minority, but I want that new new next level shit.

I'd rather it be exclusive and to take advantage of using as much power as possible.

I can’t wait for it, the controllers have me the most excited. Having the Dualsense haptics and adaptive triggers in the VR controllers will add so much immersion to the games

I have multiple vr headsets , and can say that right now, if you don't have vr-- it's very much worth it to get an oculus quest for $300. It will last you until psvr2 comes out, and what you get for that price is quite frankly insane.

Next year is not really that far off.
