I sense that u will like uncharted series. They are not dark and heavy like witcher or last of us. They can be enjoyed during night without being stressful. They are colourful and stories are fulfilling. U will love it

The Witcher 3 is a similar style to Red Dead and similar in themes to Hollow Knight. You may enjoy exploring that world!
Celeste is a lovely game that is similar to Hollow Knight. Has a great story and has some challenging platforming.
Maybe check out Risk of Rain 2 as well.
ID: gq5l4fbI will check out those games and see if I like them
ID: gq5uoznWitcher 3 is probably the right answer. You can usually get it with both DLC for a very low price (I got it for $20) and there is so much to that game.

Maybe Ghost of Tsushima if you dig the ancient Japan stuff. It has a great atmosphere /

Batman Arkham Collection is a no brainer if you liked Spider-Man games
ID: gq79s4iYeah I just played through the first 2 again and it hold up so well!

The last of us 1 then 2. The second one is much better and a phenomenal game

Am I allowed to suggest bugsnax?

If you liked Red dead Redemption 2 then I would recommend Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition.

Monster Hunter: World?
Great challenging action/adventure, bossfight game. Hunt big monsters and make new gear from them to take on tougher stuff. And theres a very friendly, welcoming community of players willing to help, or you can play solo.
And you can usually find it on sale for about $20, maybe $30-$50 with the DLC, which literally doubles the amount of content.
I’ve put 1k hours into the game and don’t regret it. -
Take a look at Yakuza 0, I have a similar taste in games to you and this game will rock your mind and hearts. It can be both very serious and very goofy and you will be engaged at every moment. It is a beatem up like the spiderman games but I personally think the beatem up aspect is more intricate in the Yakuza games. You can also get them pretty cheap when they go on sale.

Since you’ll probably get a lot of the same recommendations, I thought I’d offer some lesser known stuff:
Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden is just great fun if you like the X-Com games but wanted more of a straightforward story to it. You play as a mutant duck named Dux and his mutant pig friend and you have to fight your way through a post apocalyptic world.
It’s a stealth game but when you engage with an enemy by either catching them off guard or getting caught by them, it switches to an X-Com style of shooting at the enemy. It’s kinda like if X-Com and Fallout were mashed together and starred Howard the Duck.
Don’t expect a super deep experience because it’s a fairly indie game. People seem to think you can pull like 500 hours of content out of it like X-Com and are disappointed when it’s “only” a 20ish hour game. But it’s a great experience the whole time and just feels fun.

Wonderful small scale stealth tactics game.
Rain World is incredible but very difficult to get into. It’s a kinda sorta metroidvania survival (no crafting/etc) platformer that kinda feels like a 2D Dark Souls. It’s beyond incredible but it’s very difficult and you’re pretty much expected to die hundreds of times while navigating the labyrinth of the map where everything is trying to kill you.
The game revolves around you trying to get to the next safe zone to sleep because everyday after a certain amount of time, a torrential downpour of rain happens and floods the entire map. But you also have to eat something everyday to not starve.
You play as Slugcat and you’re pretty much at the bottom of the food chain. But it literally feels like you’re walking through an ecosystem because every enemy is just hunting and they even hunt each other. It’s really amazing the times that you see a dangerous enemy distracted by another enemy which allows you to sneak away.
It gives you basically no information and throws you off the deep end into the world but it’s extremely fulfilling when you figure things out. Having said that, I’d recommend you watch some beginners basic guides on youtube before you start if you’re scared at all. Just knowing how to do backflips or long jumps and how the eating system works.
It’s a 10/10 masterpiece to me with beautiful visuals and music and atmosphere and was my GOTY for the year it came out. I love love love love this game and the ending of it feels like a downright spiritual experience. And if you look up reviews for it, most say it’s either a cult classic in the making, way too hard or way too obscure. But it’s worth saying that they patched in an easier mode. But even the base game is very doable once you get the hang of it. And I love how every area introduces a new gameplay loop (and some of them are really amazing).
Here’s a trailer:
Here’s my favorite song in the game:

Uncharted series or Ghost of Tsushima.

Super surprised nobodys said God of War. Its the best PS4 exclusive and it goes for like $20 now I think. The second best PS4 exclusive is Bloodborne, if you enjoyed the challenge as well as the dark vibes from Hollow Knight you should really enjoy this game

If you want a combination of action and metroidvania, try Control. It's based on the SCP theme and is a quite interesting and fun game. You might experience FPS drops sometimes when there are lots of enemies and moving props, because the PS4 can't really handle that. It doesn't make the game unplayable, it's just sometimes noticable.
