Everything in this game is hard from the get go. The learning curve is difficult, you have a lot of different things to manage at all times during a raid, and the questlines from Jaeger are as enjoyable as sitting on a cactus.
The problem with Tarkov Shooter Part 8 isn't that it's hard - there's too much luck involved. Since the woods expansion it has been extremely difficult to complete three player kills in one raid, there just simply isn't enough players staying on the map.
Suggestion: Change it to 3-5 bolt action kills on woods without dying. Let the kills carry over between raids, but lose them if you die. Jaeger has quests like this already. It eliminates the worst parts of random chance from arguably one of the hardest quests of the games. Keep it hard, don't make it a time sink of questioning when you will see 3 players in a woods raid.

I finally finished this today. Of all my 30-40 attempts, this was the 3rd time id seen 3 players. I think that was partly due to the time of day.
The only reason i completed it was killing 3 players level 12, 10 and 9. All within 3 minutes and all played pretty poorly.
I like the idea of the quest a lot, but i really wish it was less reliant on luck. I think 3 kills with a bolt action on any map could be fine.

ID: gqcvgzlWould be super easy on factory. Not that we don’t use factory to make a lot of weapons quests easy already, but it would be a bummer to add yet another one.

This is the first wipe i have done this quest. All i did was went in for shooter in heaven kills and instantly every person in the map wants to be up my arse instead of 100m away

I'm actually really enjoying the questlines from Jaeger so far. I mean.. I'm on get kills while in pain, but still.
ID: gqd1zekHis early ones are fine and shooter is fine for the most part until pt.8 the one I'm having the most trouble with is controller and Killa (because people farm kill) but thankfully you don't need those for kappa.

Someone literally made this exact same suggestion a few weeks back. How are you completing this? I may have got lucky I guess. I literally rushed lumber mill with no gear and just a stock VPO + .366 AP and got it done in like 3-4 raids. .366 AP can take down geared players with a headshot and undergeared players in 1-2 chest shots.

I honestly think a lot of people just cheese this with friends. It's just far too annoying to do naturally.

Luck plays a part yes, but the biggest part is played by knowing the flow of the map. Rush the lumber mill, look for people sniping for shturman, then move in a triangle between lumber mill, checkpoint and scav house. Stop messing around with sniping spots or whatever shit you saw some streamer do.
ID: gqdajl3Additionally, considering the new PMC distribution on the map makes Outskirts the extract for any PMC spawning any further than ZB 14, chances are that if you spawn @ Outskirts you could catch pretty much every other PMC on the map at the extract (if ZB-14 isn't up).

Go straight to the woodyard bro... it’s very possible. It took me a few raids... but you will get lucky. You just have to run around and clap clap clap. Quickly before anyone steals your opportunity’s

I’ve had 4 raids where I’ve gotten 2 kills and ran around the map for 40 minutes looking for a single pmc to kill and got nothing
ID: gqda2mgIt really depends on stage in the wipe and server pop. Mid- to late-wipe, it's pretty common to spawn in with 2 other PMCs max on Woods on my region. The problem with this particular quest isn't that it's just hard, but that it can be literally impossible to complete.

I agree that it's luck based, but I think it's entirely possible. My last raid on Woods I dropped 3 PMCs on the shoreline below Sawmill, and this was 15 minutes into raid (spawned USEC camp).
Ultimately, what tasks like this one do, is make you spend an excessive amount of time on the same map. What BSG should do, is allow it to be spread out on either Woods or Shoreline and maybe even Interchange/Reserve/Customs.
3 kills with a bolt-action isn't easy, especially as a solo fighting a team, and the added chance that you see absolutely nobody on Woods is too likely for this task to be completed without grinding for days.

I’ve heard so many people have this issue, it used to be 5 kills and now it’s 3 and in my experience I’ve completed this task every time with iron sight mosin. I just rush spawn areas on woods and the max it’s taken me is 5 raids. They already made it easier with the kills required, I don’t see it needing more nerfs or balancing when I feel it’s balanced enough.
