What is the easiest way to play the original 3 games?

By which I mean what console or on pc? I have looked online but there are so many different opinions it's unclear what is best. I thought you guys would probably know what's up.

Using Dolphin emulator for PC is the way to go!

I'd like to add that there's Seamless HD Project for RE2 and RE3 on Dolphin. It upscales/improves backgrounds, textures, effects, menus etc.

Honestly I would say you have 3 options.

1) Emulate them on PC, gamecube versions are best for 2 and 3. RE1 probably either the DS port Deadly Silence on classic mode or the PS1 version.

2) Own a PS3, PsVita or PSP and download from the store

3) Own or buy a cheap PS2 and procure some 2nd hand versions of the original PS1 games.

I'd reccomend skipping RE1 original unless you have already played its remake and are curious to see the very original. Its widely accepted that RE1 remake serves as a complete replacement for RE1 original due to how little it cut compared to how many great changes it made that kept the game 95% the same but improved upon it in everyway.

That is fair enough. Expect roughly the same game but with less content and hilariously bad voice acting. Still a fun game regardless of this though :-).

...the fact Capcom hasn’t made these games available on the PS4 Era and onward is kinda unbelievable... I would scoop up the OG trilogy on my PS5 the moment it was available. I think there is a huge yearning to play these games by newcomers after the remake of RE2/RE3. For a company that loves porting games to death... just odd that they have left them on the PS3 store and moved on
