So I got this game for free way back in the day and never played it, am I missing out??
ID: gq60pexID: gq5o81qYee.
Go in blind.
ID: gq7q6hgJust start it up and have fun
ID: gq84ls9It's amazing, one of my favorite games ever. Everything in it is just dripping with atmosphere and the story is amazing.
ID: gq7sf8uIt’s scarcely a “game”, but it is terrific. The writing hooked me in about 5 minutes
-
all jerking aside i genuinely loved this game, its easily one of my most favourites
ID: gq6lfhfI just wanna diiiiieeeee anywhere else but heeeeeeereee
ID: gq7m7u7I felt the ending was a bit rushed but still a great game. Got it for free on Epic. Might buy it for PS4 later depending on how money is.
-
huh, I'm going to have to check this out now. I saw some bits of it and just assumed it was getting hype from fur-baiting, but this sounds dope.
ID: gq5zxreit's a joke, the game's not actually like this
-
okay i guess i have to replay this game...
apparently theres some content i missed, because i got only a little bit of that union stuff, it was mostly about having pet rats and hanging out with freinds for me...
ID: gq6vhprThere is an entire subplot about her grandpa being part of a militant union/secret society which protected worker interests. Its alluded partly that the weird cult was an evolution of that society which still looked after the town's interest by removing the undesirables in the hope that a God would reward those sacrifices
-
I like how we never get a clear answer on if Mae's police officer aunt was part of the conspiracy, it makes the ending just a bit more chilling.
ID: gq7kcvgSorry to disappoint you, but it's confirmed that she was not.
The weird autumn update put Molly in the epilogue, confirming she is not a cult member.

Can you explain some of the points in the post? I finished the game a while ago and to be honest I picked up only a few of these points, like the one about religion. It has been a while since I played the game, so maybe that's a part of it.
ID: gq7v2uaI mean... There's an entire sub-quest where you find out Mae's grandfather kept the tooth of his former boss after the miner's union stormed the boss's house and took (presumably) far more than one tooth...
What's to miss, exactly?

Exactly, when I bring up this game I fear that people will think it's a furry game even though the animals being characters isn't important at all and is just an artstyle (or if you like reading into things it's the way Mae views the world due to her derealization ) and I love it due to it's incredibly relatable characters and story and probably one of the best portrayals of mental illness and life in the modern world
ID: gq7ss84They definitely aren’t actually animals, only represented that way. They eat meat, and there are non-anthropomorphized animals of the same species (looking at you, rooftop cat). Other than Mae having the nickname “kitten” from her parents, are there any references to any character’s species in the whole game?

Always weirded me out how conservatives latched onto Alec because he was an abuser, ignoring his political views and his thoughts on their politics
-
“Be gay, do crimes, eat the rich”
“That won’t stop me because I can’t read”
-
Night in the woods is a good pop up book
-
First time I hear of the game, but this sounds extremely based.
ID: gq6ylr5The game sometimes is too on the nose with the messaging that seems out of a Tumblr joke thread.
But the overall tone and dialogue is pretty alright.
It has a "existential horror" tangent, which I didnt really appreciate

Eugenics? I don't remember that from night in the woods
ID: gq7liomIt's a bit of a stretch, but the cult was specifically sacrificing undesirables to an eldritch being they were worshipping.

Never played the game, but now I don’t know if I would want considering that the first point is communism and I still have flashbacks from the post communism transaction period.
-
You forgot about "feminists are bad and you shouldn't befriend them or else they will consciously drive you to suicide".
-
