Looks better and better every time I see it and the frame rate looks a lot more stable. Hopefully there’s a “state of play” coming soon for a more in-depth look.

Day 1 purchase for me!
ID: gsp37w6ID: gsp6i1lI honestly hear this a lot but I feel like they’ve been really open and have shown us a lot of gameplay already which is all everyone ever asks for. What more would you need to make your purchase ?
ID: gsqtu8oI get that (though keep in mind this is a game that’s going to change every time you die, so once you get a sense for the core gameplay loop, everything else is going to be in a constant state of change). Personally, all of HouseMarque’s previous games have convinced me they know what they’re doing and can make an amazing game, and the biggest difference about this from their arcade games is really just the perspective/camera change and addition of a story. Other than that, I get some Nier Automata style vibes from it — it’s a bullet hell game, with roguelike elements. I’ll preorder it and cancel if the reviews aren’t good prior to it coming out, but thus far unless they absolutely drop the ball (which is possible, and has happened with other companies), I expect is one of my most anticipated games this year.

This game looks amazing. People seem to be too scared off by the roguelike tag, but this seems to have a lot more depth and variety than other roguelikes, at least based on what they’ve said and shown so far. I’m most likely picking this up unless reviews are completely tepid.

Someone has to say it: I'll pick this up as soon as they add gyro aiming. Really been looking forward to the game as well, sad such a critical feature is missing.
ID: gsqdwmhEvery shooting game should have the option and it really pisses me off that it isn’t the case. I’m so used to gyro that any game that doesn’t have it feels completely broken. I hope more PS5 games have it, because it don’t want to play downgraded Switch versions anymore.

ID: gspl808I asked on the Discord a while back and was told it wasn't a priority, that the game was nearing completion and they were working on polish. It's definitely a let down for those of us used to it but the fact that gyro aiming doesn't have mainstream support outside of the Switch it's not exactly unexpected. I wish that console players on other platforms picked up the mantle as strongly as Switch owners did, it has revolutionized how I play games on that console. Even the latest Monster Hunter has full deeply customizable gyro support and only the extreme minority of players actually use any type of ranged weapon.

Waiting for some real gemplay/reviews on how long the game is. It's AAA PS5 price now.

Res8 is definitely day 1 for me.. But this one, I am not sure. The gameplay looks amazing but I prefer to be careful

ID: gsotw7qBut they’ve also never strayed far from their formula. I mean.. their next big game was going to be a BR game. I guess they realized that it wouldn’t have worked so now they went rogue-like. I just hate games with rogue like elements in them. I don’t want to push progress inch by inch and restart every time I die with some small perk. It sucks because the majority of games I see now that look interesting to me turn out to have rogue elements to them.

This and Deathloop look good but I can't see them selling well at all, especially since PS5 games are fucking 80 euros now.
ID: gsq4qeaThis one looks a lot better to me than Deathloop. I think Deathloop might outsell Returnal but only because of the ridiculous amount of advertising they’ve subjected everyone too.
I can see both games doing quite well though especially since the PS5 catalog is still in its infancy. People are dying for new games to play and these will do the trick even if they’re not massive releases.

ID: gsp1xx7Same, I anyway preordered Nier Replicant so another $70 game that I won't get to for a bit isn't worth it right now. Looking forward to the Black Friday sale where I assume that these will at least go down $10 or more.

I just have trouble understanding why Kena is $40 and this is $70
ID: gsp2ch3My guess, and hope, is that Returnal is packed with content. I'm assuming Kena to be a shorter game maybe 8 or 10 hours. Really excited for both games though!

ID: gsq06bbbasically kena will be a game alot of people will beat in a night or a weekend. Returnal my guess will have more depth and content .
Kena developers already said its short, and alot of peoples playtimes are was faster then whatever number a developer throws out.

I really want this to be like a Metroid style progression. I feel like only then this style of game will be worth it. Starting with nothing, gaining critical items from the environment, fighting bosses, then progressing.

I hope they release the VRR update before the game comes out. This would get rid of any frame drops and get the gaming lag insanely low.

Waiting for ratchet and clank rift apart, im still undecided about returnal . I guess they need to show more .
