With the PS3 store shutting down on July 2, make sure you get the PS3 version of Code Veronica.
That version is actually a remaster with widescreen and improved lighting that will be unattainable after that date.

Already have it—prefer it over the PS2 Classic version on PS4.
Seriously, true 16:9 makes the game a lot less claustrophobic, but in a good way this time.
ID: gt6votsID: gt6x3d9I prefer the new lighting on PS3 as well.
Although that one is just preference
ID: gt6xmrylooks better than the PS3 version
Why? Did the remaster fuck with the lighting or something?
The best I've seen the game look is on Dolphin with a 16:9 hack to open up the matte.

Thankfully it's still going to be available on the Xbox store, playable on the latest consoles.

What's the difference with the PS4 version?
ID: gt60cf9Dynamic lighting, native 60fps, 720p resolution, wide-screen. No platinum trophy though.
ID: gt60us0Mmmm I see, thanks for the info!

I have it on there... but it says that it is PS2... How do you tell which version, you actually have?
ID: gt6u3glIf you have the PS3 game downloaded on PSN, then it’s the redone version. You can tell the fastest by the fact it’s widescreen
If you have it on PS4, then it’s just the original

That's wierd I did not see code veronica on the ps3 store
-
Which version do I have on xbox one marketplace? I think it’s just titled “code veronica x.”

I agree. The only thing good about the PS3 version is better 16:9 widescreen support. Other than that, the PS2 version on PS4, or the upscaled GameCube version on dolphin looks better than the PS3 version, even on RPCS3.
