Xenoblade on Dolphin emulator and Xenoblade X on CEMU, both work really well if you have at least a decent PC, did a playthrough of both last year. Xeno1 has a great HD texture pack, and CEMU has bunch of improvements for X.

Xenoblade X could've been something amazing, but that unfinished story with no sequel in sight left a really bad impression for me in the end.

-driven for my liking, but that's what most people fancy about it. The combat is also very similar to Xenoblade, or rather Xenoblade's combat is similar to MMO's like FFXIV and WoW.

I liked the story and combat a lot. I also really liked the environmental design. The challenge and length are good too.

I see Xenoblade as a single player MMORPG. But you won't get a good story out of an MMO, just similar environments and combat.
