Going from Apex to other BR games I find myself trying to climb walls and when I try to put my guns away I just end up inserting plates

ID: gwsjwuyCrouch sliding is a thing in Warzone. Not as satisfying but it does make you go faster. Just have to adjust some key binds.
ID: gwsobqnOther games have so many invisible walls it's crazy, you can't climb everywhere like you can do in apex, and movement feels slow and unresponsive (for example in pubg)

I remember first playing apex and being so impressed with movement (especially with characters like Octane). Now I can’t get over how much Apex feels like it’s way too slow in comparison after hoping onto Titan fall 2.
ID: gwsujilAny FPS outside maybe Doom feels slow in comparison to TF|2. Even playing rusty this last weekend (having taken about a year off) it just instantly starts getting your adrenaline pumping unlike any game on the market

ID: gwswmanWhile I haven't played Titanfall, I've seen clips and I think Hyperscape can compete a little in the hecticness of movement. While not fluid, it's full of abrupt, jerky motions that can be very disorienting

Playing Apex to Titanfall is a nice switch in between. However, Titanfall to Apex results in you saying things like:
“Oh yeah. I can’t wallrun”
“Oh yeah. I can’t double jump”
“Oh yeah. I can’t bunny hop as well as before”
“Why is my grapple so short?”
“Why can’t I place 2 decoys?”
“Why can’t I reload while phasing? Why does it take 200 years for it to phase?”

What was on May 1st for titanfall?

People decided to play Titanfall 2 on May 1st in honor of the Season 9 update, and Respawn decided to help out and made it a free weekend!
ID: gwsqbp7Oh, that’s cool. Thankfully I missed all the old gods of titanfall coming to temporarily reclaim their thrones.
ID: gwt9ql0They should transition TF2 into free to play and do some weird slow merger of the two games into one where you load it up and can play both game types or something.

Apex feels so “grounded” after playing Titanfall.
It makes me appreciate how well the movement was crafted

So I stopped playing apex a week ago, since I wanted a break until season 9 and decided to pick up Titanfall. No joke, I think half of my time was spent trying to perfect the gauntlet.

ID: gwsamvhThere was a big "Hey guys, let's all boot up Titanfall 2 on May 1st!" as the new Apex update is a love letter to TF2. Then Respawn stepped in and said, "Hey, that's a good idea, we're making it a free weekend on Steam!"

ID: gwsd6q4What the other guy said, plus the Valkyrie trailers created a bunch of interest in Viper, who’s a boss in TF|2. The game was also on sale around that time, so sales went up.

Trying to go back to pathfinder after getting used to 2 charges, a really long grapple distance, and a double jump really fucked me up man
