I mean daily alerts going off for the pS5.
I got a few for myself and my nephews late Feb from Brst Buy. I was on their site to buy a 1TB SSD for the Pro and noticed the 5 was in stock. Bought them and was done in like 5 mins. Was quite painless.

For anyone still trying. I’m getting alerts multiple times a day from PS Direct, Best Buy, Target, Antonline, GameStop, Amazon, New Egg, Etc.
I got 3 of them from Best Buy in late February and early March from Best Buy. I found Best Buy the easiest in that once you get the 5 in your cart you get a few minutes to check out. It’s not one of those times where you get it in your cart and it’s gone 3 seconds later.
Also on the last two I bought I missed the initial drop but Best Buy usually holds a bunch back and release a few more every 30-45 minutes until they are out.
You’d think most of the “hardcore” gamers the people really wanting it now would be mostly satisfied getting one and it slowly start getting easier to get one with less people looking to purchase.
Hopefully with covid restrictions coming to an end we can start seeing more sold in store.
ID: gy5j4ihIt’s easy to get one in your cart but when you go to choose a location it never goes through and they sell out.
ID: gy5ja88The three times I got them in my cart I had around 40-70 seconds to complete the transaction and purchase. Best Buy.
I know it might not always be the case, but everyone I know around me(6 others who I game with) got theirs at Best Buy and once in their cart they were able to purchase.

ID: gy4zudyMaybe you should follow the news more and see that there's been a worldwide semiconductor shortage, which Sony explained as the reason why they can't produce as much as they'd like? They even confirmed they're (keyword : considering) redesigning the PS5 in 2022 to get around the shortage.

If Sony actually gave a shit about their fan base they would make the ps5 available for pre-order and just deliver them based on where you are in the queue. Effectively shutting down scalpers. Really disappointing that I see over a dozen consoles available for sale in my area on these 3rd party selling apps for double the price but yet it's next to impossible to get one in stores.
ID: gy5hql9lol if you think they’re going to stop selling through retailers. They already limit you to one per PSN account, and you have to be logged in to yours to buy one. I think that’s pretty reasonable of them.
ID: gy5i9qgNot sure what you are talking about bud because I have a few friends that bought their ps5 consoles and didn't need to be signed in to their PSN account to get it. It's first come first serve at all retailers which is why there's so many scalpers selling multiple consoles online for double the price. Really dumb that they made it possible for these scalpers to horde their product and price gouge people like that.

So I managed to get in on the Sony Direct restock on Wednesday. Even got my confirmation email. This morning I wake up to an email from Sony: "We're sorry, but your order has been delayed". I got 2 day shipping on it and now I have no idea if I'll even get one at all. No explanation given. I've been trying hard to get one for 3 months now and this is what happens. Call me pessimistic, but I'm just waiting for that 'order cancelled/refund issued' email now...
