God.... Since I was 4 years old... I grew up on Classic Sonic and Mario, and since I got my hands on Mario 64, I wanted more than anything for a good 3d Sonic game in the style of why I love the classic games
Please don't take this as hate for the 3d Sonic that does exist. I think it has it's own charm and I will always love the cheesy rock and roll awesomeness that is Modern Sonic, but the gameplay has never appealed to me. It's just not the Sonic I grew up on. Respect anyone who grew up on Modern Sonic or just loves it, it's just not my Sonic.
To OP: Love this, it's beautiful. I see someone is a fan of the OVA, and I couldn't agree more.
ID: gymm04jI recommend checking out the fangame Sonic GT because it’s a pure translation 2D Sonic level design in 3D. I’d love for the official Team to take inspiration from it.

My god you have his dimensions perfect! He honestly looks like the most HD version of Sonic 3 Sonic you can get.

Memory (used to play around with the sprite sheets as a kid) and a few inspirations here and there like the sonic CD intro. The proportions are very similar to the animations you’re talking about though, good eye
