Your on the right track;) Ek the sh of that 3090 oven front and bk pop the water block red light then is finish.
ID: gzvs3eqID: gzvssbwI don't know if 90 C or more memory temp is normal but is posible to degrade faster. On the other hand when you know nvidia prob want you next year to upgrade again...yeah consumer market 😉 if it was mine i slap some ek blocks on it and let it run normal.

How dare you get a RTX 3090 over the glorious RX 6900XT!
Jokes aside, it looks great.
ID: gzvqkxe3090! haha Thanks so much. It was actually the only video card that was in stock at my local computer store back in November 2020 when I purchased it.
ID: gzw1r3zAnd now your 3090 is worth double what your paid lol

Hello there!
I'm really excited about my build I just completed and this is actually only my second time posting on Reddit! I will list the components below. I was able to snag a 3090 from my local Canada Computers in November 2020 which I had in my previous build. I have been eyeing Ryzen 5000 chips since release but hesitated due to insane scalper prices and availability. What started this whole build was finding an amazing deal an open box X570 Dark hero motherboard that I was skeptical of but was relieved when I received it and it was in absolutely mint condition. Early last week the same store had gotten a large shipment of AMD Zen 3 processors in which I hastily drove to purchase. This is my dream set up.
*I do not have an actual mic stand yet so I had to improvise with my empty 9mm ammo transport boxes that came with one of my ammo boxes, gets the job done for now.

ID: gzvux4cI want the same gpu, and have the same hardware. Just curious about the gpu bottle neck? How bad is it?
ID: gzw1w1kWhat bottleneck?

What are your 5900x temps? Thinking about doing custom water loop?
ID: gzw8au6Hey! The reason I went with a loop for the 5900x alone is because I already had all the stuff from a previous build. That being said my temps are extremely good. All my fans are controllable along with my pump so depending on my clocks or workload I can tune it. while gaming with the cpu at stock speed it's only at 40C when I'm playing at 4k because it is GPU bound. I play Tarkov at 1440p and my 5900x doesn't go above 50C. 10 minute stress test with an all core oc at 4750MHz at 1.4V and DOCS enable it doesn't exceed 76C and is actually stable around 74.8C.
*edit - So what I would suggest is just get an AIO unless you're interested in water cooling. It's also way more of a hassle maintaining and cleaning your loop but I love it.

That's exactly what's been on my mind but with a decent under volt my gpu temps are actually really good. The GDDR6X on the other hand, you could fry an egg on those things but that's apparently normal?
