I wish you could have the option to just start in the village for new game+. That initial trail through the woods is so tedious after the first go

ID: h1rbh6pThey could've done something similar to RE2: Remake's '2nd Run' where you just get a brief run down of the events that transpired up to the point where Ethan gets his hand munched on.
ID: h1rlahzThat's honestly the thing that demotivates me from during another playthrough besides the 3 I've done (Hardcore, VoS with no inifinite ammo and then a WCX-infinite ammo run).

Dumb question, how do you start a second game with unlocked/infinite weapons in inventory?

Chris definitely would’ve realized that Ethan was not ‘out of his depth’ at the lake as far as the ‘New game + déjà vu timeline’ is concerned!

All they needed to do was this
“Do you have a gun please tell me you have a gun ?”
“Yes...why?”
“Ok good, you will need it”
And scene continues without the old man giving Ethan a gun
Just a little nit pick but would of been appreciated if they did that

This has potential for an oldschool secret scene exclusive to new game plus.
Turns out you do have guns to defend yourself. Then if you save this dude from dying, he appears during the ending, in the heli as a background character, next to Mia and Chris.
Just a little bonus nod.

You know I wish a resident evil would do something with its cutscenes or dialogue in new game plus.
Hell at this point I’d love if any game that had new game plus gave a wink & nod or changed up scenes due to already playing it.

Maybe because you have undergone military combat training, and are in hiding from your wife's former employer? You know, that company that's engaged in illegal bioweapons research? The one that would no doubt kill you both in a heartbeat, because you (especially she) knows too much, and is now working with a counter-bioterrorism agency? You think, just maybe, that might be a good reason to have a gun around?
