As there is a lot of speculation of when wipe will be with the recent in-game events we would like to remind everyone that the only official news we have gotten regarding the next wipe is Nikita stating that "Wipe is not planned right now, we don't plan to do it in the next weeks or months." Source: The Team Podcast on May 15th When asked about wipe a few days ago, Nikita responded with "I can't tell you." Source: Twitch Gaming interview
We recommend playing the game based on only official information, any information you see on the sub not from official BSG channels is pure speculation and should be treated as such.
While speculation on when wipe will be is allowed, there has been an uptick in misinformation regarding wipe. This post is here to serve as a place to discuss wipe speculation (without having many posts an hour about the same subject clogging up new), as well as to make sure users know what is fact and what is speculation.

My thoughts - it literally doesn't matter whether this is pre-wipe or not.
Spend your money, enjoy the wild PVP/PVE, and if you're not anywhere near finishing Kappa now is the time to run the other maps while nobody is on it.

ID: h2iadteAt this point I feel like all they're trying to do is to prevent their servers from going up in flames. Announce the wipes as quietly as possible and only last minute, bonus points if it's on an international holiday.

ID: h2k41oni think it has much more to do with them constantly failing deadlines. One wipe was pushed back for weeks leaving a dead game behind in the meantime. So they really make sure everything is ready before they announce it

We all know wipes happen at a regular interval of about ~200 days and there are obvious signs of wipe with all the wacky events and official teasers. While nothing is confirmed you have to be obtuse to not see that the wipe is coming with almost certainty within the next couple days or weeks. The question is when

The best thing about a wipe is, a minimum of six months of no chance of a wipe.

No one should make any proclamations with absolute certainty but all the signs sure are there. There's basically no precedent for this volume and duration of events without a wipe coming right on the heels.

I can't see the reason when labs is free and the other two events are simultaneously going. If there's another thing coming tomorrow and people are still saying there's no wipe I'll just laugh while I spend all my roubles

I think a lot of people are upset they will lose their massive chad stash and no longer be able to run hk416 raid after raid, that's my theory at least. Only explanation for why they get mad if you even suggest *MAYBE* a wipe is coming
ID: h2j2qcmI honestly dont want the wipe yet, Its a little selfish on my part but... 1. I am enjoying watching the clips here and the streamers take on the bosses. 2. I took this wipe off, and want to play again with the fresh wipe, but dont want it to happen right now because its summer here an im busy. 3. I think it would be really cool if events like these became standard, and its a great change for BSG to study what this even does to the flea long term.

Lol what a post. When have they ever given more than a months warning? Nikita saying "I can't tell you" a few days ago honestly makes me think a wipe is even more likely than I did before.

What’s the point of this post? To try and be right? Who cares. Wipe could be tomorrow, could be in a month. Stop worrying about when people think wipe will be. We all know it’s Thursday.

I'm not an active player I play like crazy for 1-2 month into a wipe and then wait for the next one. But why would adding "leveling" things and Scav Karma, 6 month (in 4 days) into a wipe.How can you really feel the missfire update if you can get CHAD Gun with no durability issue.
To me it sounds like it's a wipe...but if it's not I'll wait until it is!
ID: h2i6e49yeah this is the big thing people are missing 2 pretty big mechanics are being added in scav karma and missfires(weapon durability) the chads wont feel those missfires cause well they are rocking brand new meta stuff that shouldnt ever missfire unless used for like 50+ raids.
who is actually doing scav raids nowadays other then the odd new player and somebody completely bored so they are doing it for a challenge so they wont care about scav karma at all
those 2 mechanics alone especially scav karma kinda need a wipe to be fully tested and to see how it impacts the game.
we also have the fact the next major thing is Lighthouse which based on how they are talking is like octobe
time that is way too long to go without a wipe and could cause an overall plummet in playerbase that wont even come back for the wipe because of some other games and well them not liking the lack of updates in their eyes. -

I feel like if these were just random events to spice the game up late-wipe, they would tell us straight up, instead of getting everyone's hopes up and then just leave it running for another few weeks.

Maybe some of the new people don't remember that one time they announced a wipe soon and it wasn't soon at all. People were raging pretty hard. I think the next wipe following that they didn't even announce it. I may be remembering that incorrectly it was a few years ago. Anyway, they certainly aren't going to announce the wipe until last minute, just to avoid all of the problems from impatient children.

Wipe more or less has to happen, these events made the economy even more of a shit show then it already was which always happens before a wipe.

Could be they're just trying to build up player participation through event hype and will drop the factory patch without a wipe, but if they do said player participation is going to drop off a cliff and the hype will turn to outrage.

ID: h2ijx0r850k per bitcoin early wipe and easy pistol runs of 1.5-4 mil in tech stores on interchange. I got further in regards to progression in half the raids than last wipe. Now I'm at 550 raids and last wipe I did nearly 1000.
