- My favorite screenshot from the game so far

I have the same shot. Man it's just the best
ID: h2rwu9uID: h2rzi7nSame. Just really photogenic spot I guess
ID: h2sq2duI did this three!
ID: h2swswhI think most of us took this picture. It is, to me, the most strikingly beautiful location in the game and almost completely out of place with the rest of the game. Stunning.
ID: h2tad14Literally the only screenshot I took all game lol

When I rounded the corner and saw this bitch ass house I immediately knew I was in for a bad time. It only got worse as I started exploring it and nothing was happening.
"No monsters? Nothing to shoot? Oh fuck." starts sweating
ID: h2spefwThen the whole “Where is my gun?” segment. Makes this house still stressful even on the second playthrough
ID: h2szkfrit's funny, because I had a false sense of security with the "guns are gone" after Lucas' room in 7. turns out, it was not like Lucas' room.
ID: h2t0fq0This is what gets me. I don't run away from danger in real life because I'm not very fast, so when my only option is to "run", I get easily freaked out. Let me stand and fight lol It's my only chance.
ID: h2svjx1There are so many red flags since the beginning of this level. In perspective, i just couldn't see them the first time.
ID: h2sy8mfThat's literally what happen to me like, I don't feel safe when there's nothing dangerous around me xd

I like the giant waterfall behind the house itself. Certainly added to the great atmosphere of House Beneviento, the house being beside a cliff as well. It's a nice shot for sure. There's something that's so soothing yet unnerving about arriving to this house in general.
Although I kind of wish the actual path to House Beneviento weren't interrupted by a slow elevator ride, I know it works as a loading screen but I think it'd be more effective if we actually arrived there on foot, by walking up a hill as the house starts to come into the view the closer you get to the top.
ID: h2snd0xCool lil detail i learned from Distortion on twitch. Its not just a way to load in the next area. The first time you go up the elevator the game actually ports you to a different cell because of the assets that are different during the hallucinations. So when the game flickers to black it ports you to another cell, and when it flickers to black a second time it ports you back to the original elevator.
Only reason the speed runners know about it is cause you can't skip it by pausing the game and waiting for the area to load in like you can the elevator to the workshop (the one where you put the chalice)
ID: h2sqbcxYiu can tell when you've bene transported because text will appear on part of the elevator.
ID: h2sptmuThat's interesting, didn't know that actually. Thanks for the info!
ID: h2sndlsGood suggestion. Something to file away for the Code Veronica remake maybe!?
-
Only in the first playthrough when you don't know what's inside yet.
-
Fuck that house. It was the best part of the game, but yeah. FUCK THAT HOUSE.
ID: h2tezb3For real. I knew something was off about it as soon as I saw the outside. Entering the mansion again on my second playthrough filled me with dread.
-
Please don't pictures of me and my wifes house without consent.
ID: h2t7wagDamn you got a nice house man. Bit creepy looking, but nice view
-
Change the wallpaper and get rid of all the haunted dolls and I’d love to stay in the Beneviento House.
ID: h2sxk7gWhat about basement baby?
ID: h2sy1rgThat's my daughter how dare you.
-
I think we all have the same "original" screenshot from this game xD
-
What a beautiful foggy and silent hill!
-
That freaking basement……
ID: h2so8ttYeah. Fuck that place. Also, I've never had hair stand up on the back of my neck harder than when watching that goddamn sinister-esque home movie. FML.
ID: h2sp68kWatching that and then having to climb down the well yourself was terrifying. Ethan Winters has balls of steel. I would have definitely noped the fuck out of there.
ID: h2sve66I feel like people slept on that puzzle. I legit was expecting her to come out of the film and drag me into the well or something a la Ring. It was brilliant.
ID: h2tfmxtI’m glad to see someone else pointing it out. That room and the film instantly reminded me of Sinister.
Trivia fact: they didn’t tell Ethan Hawke what was on the films. They captured his genuine reactions to what was on screen. So when the uhh….”lawn work” video was watched by him, he genuinely jumped like most viewers who saw the scene in the movie lol

Steam has this as a background profile image too haha. Beautiful spot.
-
Who lives in a house like this?
ID: h2u6revDonna.... duh
-
My favourite part of the game, may or may not have a thing for Donna...
-
Mama...Yummy..
-
What an awesome shot. I love the shot of the castle over the village in the beginning too
-
Got one like that too, just slightly receded and without the logo. It´s my desktop right now. 🙂
-
Great Shot. The concept art for this really hammers in a sort of supernatural pretense when you first take a look.
From the Sketch shown in the ‘Tragedy of EW’ there was supposed to be a Dead Family that you contended with here.
ID: h2soa3dOh…
Damn, having to deal with Donna’s repressed memories of her family would’ve made her even more depressing than she already is ;-;
-
Scary part of resident evil village
-
"Hi, I've come about the babysitting job."
-
Fuck that house lol
-
I took the exact same screenshot the first time I saw the beneviento house. It's was so beautiful
-
Only time I’ve ever looked at a house and thought wow and oh no at the same time
-
Mine too!
-
I took the same screenshot and made it my Xbox background the first week. Awesomeeee spot
-
I love that house as much as I hate it.
