I don’t like rumors but a few of things.

Stitch them all together and let us go wild. Vietnam map ends right where bf2 map starts. No extra work required.
But when you switch maps all your gear changes time periods.

I think DICE needs to address this rumor if it's not true because some people are really getting their hopes up about this. This seems a little "too good to be true" territory but I'm open to being surprised.

Kinda doesn’t make sense to make a new mode for classic maps only why not just add them to the main game? Unless they are 64 player only maps ? I dunno just doesn’t sound right to me and how is that gonna work? Play operation metro in its own mode?

Is personally love the 1943 maps to come into the new game . Or even just a 4K remaster of 1943 would do too .

ID: h2txz83Lol I was just playing 1943 this week. It could really use a remaster of some sorts. Or atleast a upres on consoles. It runs at like 720p and looks pretty damn blurry. Still such a classic tho.

I'm avoiding news and rumors for this till July 22nd. But since popped in, I wanted to say that when EA said 'a love letter', you immediately think 'fan service'. And I can't think of anything else that old maps. SO I was thinking since BF42 has huge maps, they can remake some popular old maps and mash them together in one bigger map. Thinking Operation Metro in the tunnels and above that is Caspian border with Wake Island off the shore- or something like that.
And if I were EA, I would put one free to play mode and map for everyone. Think about anyone can get into one mode in one map for free for as long as they want. Limit the servers if you have to. Think how some FIFA versions have a free demo that doesn't expire but just has two teams and one field or something. Great advertisement and doesn't cost you much of anything. People will like it and would want to buy the full game. Those who don't wouldn't have played this anyway so why not let them check it out and intrigue them?
ID: h2tm1ddIt's weird because classic Battlefield maps could be anything pre-BF4. We hope for 1942 or BF2, but we'll end up with random maps from BF3.
ID: h2tmxpgOh I think they'll use 'classic' for any BF game including BF5. Just whatever map was popular. And they can also string this for a while as opposed to doing it once at launch and move on.
Whatever it is, I'd LOVE to see Firestorm again (and for the kiddies out there, that's a map, not a mode. :p). Firestorm for life!

The good news is that this is the last month we'll have without news. After that, the game is only three months away from launch so we should get regular news and updates and trailers/teases leading to the launch.
