The reason they keep doing this is because they’re using the game as a training wheel to implement what they learned for future games right from the start like what they did with Rift Apart. I wish more developers would do this.

Imagine Sony without Insomniac games. Say what you will, Sony are really smart when it comes to their aquisitions. Insomniac was an absolute steal and Housemarque evolved into a AAA studio.

Looking back, I feel like Insomniac should have always been a Sony first party. It's just...right and a win-win-win for Insomniac, Sony, and us (the players)

I hadn't really played much Insomniac games before Spider-man (dabbled in Sunset Overdrive but didn't own it so never played it all) and they have turned into the Naughty Dog or Santa Monica level developer to me. When I see their name, it's going to be a good game.
I just platinumed Rift Apart (first plat ever too) and that game was just fantastic, Miles Morales, Spider Man PS4, they've just been on another level lately.

Looking forward to when they start utilising AMD FSR, then they'll really be able to dial up the ray tracing.

I believe Insomniac's proprietary solutions including their temporal injection are on par or even better than AMD FSR to upscale to 4K and boost frame rate so they don't need it. However, other Sony first part who don't use technology or engines like that can benefit from AMD'S FSR

It's funny to see this now, because I actually fired up Miles Morales last night out of curiosity, because I had noticed it downloaded an update the other day. After the Ratchet & Clank update yesterday that enabled the 120hz mode with its 40fps Fidelity mode, I was curious if they might have secretly snuck something similar into Miles Morales. Sadly, that was not the case, but while I was messing with it I compared modes between Fidelity and Performance RT, and I DID notice that I wasn't seeing as much difference between the quality of the RT between the two modes as I had expected.

They've been one of the smartest devs around since like 1998 when Spyro came out. They've ALWAYS been this good! Insomniac can't make a bad game.

What makes them even better is their efficiency and the rate at which they learn and implement new techniques. That coupled with their technical prowess, makes them top tier.

After completing both MM and spidey remastered, which one do y’all go back to if at all? I just beat MM and working my way thru remastered. I think I like swinging around in summer / fall NYC more tbh

I personally think the original just flowed a LOT better and was more heart wrenching. Obviously, I do miss miles's power set though. It does have me a bit concerned for Spider-Man sequel if miles can do everything peter can do and have extra on top..not sure what the point of having Peter is gameplay wise. I'm more of a fan of peter as a lead as well if it isn't obvious.

Seriously some of the locations in Rift Apart are so compelling, I desperately wanted reasons to get deeper into them and spend more time.

I haven't been able to play R&C yet but it really looks amazing. Can't wait to try it. The looks of that game as well as some of the scenes in MM really make me look forward to what kind of scenery they can produce with their next project.

40 FPS 120 hz mode on rift part is really bad ass tbh. Really goes good with my oled cx

seems like they're working hard on their engine and re-compiling (part of) their games to patch those changes into already released games, which is awesome!

I beat the game at launch and from that day they keep update it.

Did I waste money?
So I completed Spider-Man on PS4. When I got PS5 I bought Miles Morales with Spider-Man bundle. I'm played Spider-Man again to experience it on PS5 but the problem is I'm still playing it and now I want to beat it again before I start Mile Morales.... should I be playing Miles Morales right now???

Fuck ya. I was planning on starting up Miles Morales for the first time real soon. I finally played through Spider Man when I got the PS5 earlier this year. I absolutely loved it. Can’t wait to see what this game is like.
