Apparently the Steam Deck has the same equivalent amount of GPU power per pixel vs a Series X rendering at 4K according to a developer(probably in only handheld mode)
1.6 TFLOPS of RDNA 2… it is defitnetly faster than a PS4 no question, and it’s screen resolution is only 1200x800 , so it makes sense..to a certain extent

Pretty much my plan is to use it mainly in docked mode as a mini pc.

It looks very uncomfortable. If it ends up not being uncomfortable and the buttons are clicky and the d-pad is nice it might just become the ultimate emulation machine.

ID: h5i2jbtI've had to buy a grip extender for my switch since playing for long periods makes my old man hands cramp. The steam decks extended grips look way better for sure

Estimating performance based on CU count is silly when you have flops already. So it's not 1/10th of 6900xt, it's 1/15th.

can buy a rx 570+10100F+500GB ssd system for $450-500 which blows this thing out of the water. No contest

ID: h5glulgThis is a portable console that plays games on Steam, which is great, but isn’t a budget gaming PC any more than the Switch, XBox, or PS are.
If you want to use this as a gaming PC, you need to add a full size monitor, mouse, and keyboard just as you would to any budget gaming PC in this price range. And this won’t have the same performance.

Screen resolution seems too low to me.
