Exactly. I would love to talk about how my PS5 Dual Sense controller is already drifting after a few months of use. $75 for a new one or wait forever for a replacement.

ID: h5lsqoePoor guy lol is right. All the poor people who lost out on $$$. All the manufacturers are to blame for these cheap sensors. Sony now has a class action lawsuit filed against them for this issue. At least microsoft streamlined the replacement process.

meh. its not something new really. its just like other new hardware announcement for playstation, xbox, a new GPU etc...
though the appeal of the steam deck is really good, play PC games on the go, at the palm of your hand (not on your lap) and its freaking cheap.
ID: h5lxwrlIt really is something new tho. When where the last time you saw a open console that you are allowed to do anything on? Steam deck is going to be awesome because of all the open source development that we are going to see. Just take a look at all the Nintendo consoles, even tho Nintendo is doing everything in its power to stop homebrew, it's still there and doing a lot of cool stuff.
Also. Its running Linux and its going to make gaming on Linux even better, which is also super cool.
I get that this may not be something for everyone. But this really is something new.

It is pretty exciting. I'm not even in the target market for the thing and I'm still thinking of getting it.
ID: h5l8hwwIf you want to play your Steam Library away from your PC/on the go, like I do, this is perfect for you. I can't play some games, like really long JRPGs (Persona 4 Golden, for example) , on my Desktop because it's a huge commitment with like, half an hour of cutscenes before you can save.
