My main take away from Zero was that I really liked Billy and Rebecca’s dynamic. I remember very little else :S

Have him and Sheva be in a game done in the style of the RE2 remake. With A and B scenarios, completely new story, and a new location. I would be all over that.
ID: h7g4834This could actually work really well story wise as Billy is “dead”, so it would be the perfect excuse for him to leave the country and start a new life where he would meet Sheva.

I don't. I liked Billy, but I like the idea of someone surviving that nightmare, and going "Nah, fuck this, I'm out" then goes off and lives his life somewhere. Not everyone needs to take up the fight against bio-terror or keep getting dragged back into shit.

My theory has always been that Billy committed suicide at the end of RE0.
During the final seconds of the ending cut scene Rebecca is walking away and you can hear a single gunshot clearly before the credits roll. There is the view of a butterfly caught in a spider’s web as the gunshot is heard. The shot sounds very similar to the shots from Billy’s handgun in game.
Thoughts?
ID: h7g2llkIt makes for a good theory but I think that that sound is just a startling sound effect to show that the Spencer estate is just across the woods and new horrors await as the screen cuts to black.
I also don’t think Billy is the type to endure that horrible ordeal only to kill himself once he has some breathing room. He also still has his name to clear because of the Marines.

Plus I don't se any reason he would off himself. He was a strong character with high morals and a drive to fight and stay alive. He showed absolutely no indication of suicidal tendencies through the entire title
ID: h7g5cd5It's called a transition effect. You can see him walking away before it pans down. He wouldn't walk away if he was just going to kill himself 5 seconds later. The gunshot was just a dramatic sound effect that happens in the horror all the time. The movie will be ending it will cut to a creepy shot and then as it cuts to credits there will be a sudden effect like a scream or a gunshot or something to punctuate things.
It also doesn't fit with the tone of the game or of the character. It's not actually a gunshot in game it's just on the soundtrack.

Also why would Rebecca go through the trouble of helping him fake his death only for him to actually die?
Idk just seems like a stretch on that one, but it does make you think, so I guess not entirely impossible.

Billy is cool. I truly miss him and Rebecca too, but honestly I do like the fact that he is only in 1 game. He is mysterious. I just really don't want Capcom to bring him back and turn him into an invincible Rambo suplexing zombies like RE4 Leon or RE5 Chris. Or even Carlos in RE3R, punching Hunters in the face. I just think it is really dumb. All of the male protagonists are super human now, even Ethan.
