If you thought solo-queueing BR Ranked is the most frustrating experience in Apex, then try solo-queueing Ranked Arenas instead ^^

I love playing arenas especially when it gets to the higher rounds. You start to realize how the opponents play - are they coordinated, is 1 person always not with them, etc.

If you’re facing people of equal skill, it’s fun to strategize

I love Arenas but the match making needs real fixing especially for those of us who solo queue. I always seem to get at least one player on my team who thinks he is a pro player trying to push a full team on his own only to get downed instantly. It's constantly being asked to try and carry two sub level 100 players who are still learning the game.

There needs to be much bigger penalties for those who leave in ranked too. It should be docking of at least 200 AP points and this value should increase for habitual offenders. I have also started to notice a trend of playing with a teamed up duo. If we are losing a match one will leave to save getting minus AP. At least that is what I think is happening as have had this happen in numerous Arena ranked games and only if we are losing. Again there should be a AP points punishment as this would stop many who quit in ranked.

The ranking system needs a complete rework too as the way AP points are rewarded is definitely not working.

So many games loading in without team mates too.

The Ranked points system is broken as hell for Arenas

Currently mid-plat having been placed G4 after my placements. Even in bronze-gold ranked BR I've never had teammates that seem so new to the game. I'm struggling to think of a game where one of my randoms out-damaged me but almost half of my games are me out-damaging my teammates combined score. Without an indication of their rank, or anyone's rank in the lobby for that matter, I don't know if I'm just being paired with people who are still in placements or that the ranked system is so flawed that people of their skill level are making it into plat this quickly into the season.

To clarify, I'm decent but not 4K20K decent, I can hold my own but I'm not the skill level where a 1v3 is easily achievable 100% of the time, I just find it weird that I've been playing apex since it's start and this is the lowest quality of lobbies I've seen since SBMM started kicking in casual games.

Feels like I'm either getting steamrolled or doing the steamrolling, no in between.

Once again wanted to mention that I wish when you bought a gold bag that it would correctly show as a gold bag in your inventory so you can ping it to let your team know. Right now it shows up as a level 3. I ping it anyway and hope people get the point, but having a lifeline say that she has a lvl3 bag is probably confusing.

Currently the matchmaking algorithm feels too heavily tuned to fast match-making. This results often in 1 high level player + 2 low level players on the same the team. Frustrating for everyone.

Instead I believe it should be tuned towards getting 3 players of equal skill on the same team. even if this leads to an increase in waiting time for a match.

Would like to hear from people who disagree with this!

Managed to get a 20 win streak in arenas, unfortunately it was ended by a cheater.

I genuinely have no idea how you’re supposed to get the 100 win streak badge. The chance of not finding a cheater in 100 games is ridiculously low.

Ranked matchmaking so utterly trash, it's not even funny anymore. And the AP system is just... I dunno, feels pointless and bad, not to mention that Ranks are truly useless thanks to the hidden MMR.

Please fix Ranked Arenas AP. I went on a 7 win streak yesterday best player in each match and was still getting under 15 AP every win. It's literally impossible to climb with randoms because it normalizes your team performance towards the mean, and only wins matter.

I prefer BR way more than arenas but I tried to play it today. and i swear to god. I nearly lost all of my sanity trying to 1v3 because my teammates were literally level 1 and level 2

Anyone else doesn't feel like playing arenas if there isn't flash even going on?

I do it in case I get tired of playing arenas, and flash event starts.

To many scans and wall hacks....isn't fun in a 3v3 mode

You guys really need to fine tune the penalty for "leaving" matches. I just got kicked from an match then got one of your error messages when I tried to reconnect only to be hit with the penalty. I get it if I dip out on a match but when I get kicked because of some error on your end and still hit me with an penalty is some bull.

Is arenas considered a good way of getting better since it lets you choose your loadout and has quick access to fights?

Kills and or damage need to count for points. For Kills just do a per round average and multiply it and for damage do a sliding scale and if you hit it say half the round. the goal fix it a small amount of points as well.

This will also help with people who stay for 1v3/ 2v3. They should also get more materials if someone quits.

matchmaking in arena sucks every single match I am forced to carry my random teammates and I love it when the opponent 3 stacking masters agains me any my level 30 teammates! put three stacks to their own lobbys. I dont want to sweat any pub modes anymore there is arena ranked and br ranked why is the matchmaking is so broken like its ranked

Just had a game where i had only 1 other teammate. I was pretty sure we are going to lose but then other squad had 0 members. Game started and we won without firing a bullet. lol

We should at least get a bit of RP for kills. I just had my best arena game ever, 11 kills while my team got literally NONE. And I still get -12 RP because we lost? That just feels bad.

Would love to see what current rank enemy squad is, after all, we see it in BR why not arena?

Edit: also season trackers and more badges specifically for arenas!

I think arena should get damage badges, or more badges whatsoever, for example, “Get 3 triple kills in an arena game” or something like that, damage badges i feel are a necessity, the amount of 4/5k’s with nothing to show bums me out.

Need custom arenas ASAP. Would love to run tourneys, inter club scrimmage, 1v1s, 2v2s, rematches and more. Would be amazing

Arenas is a p good firing range with interactive bots to practice with

Lstar is out of control in Arena's. Im getting beamed from the other side of the phaserunner, its way too strong of a gun compared to the price

I feel like there should be something that accounts for winning rounds in terms of AP awarded. Or at least minimizing how much you lose. The team that goes to the final round 1 v 1 and gets a loss isn't equal to the team that gets a loss after 3 rounds without a knock down.

I get that the win is the only thing that matters, but those rounds are still "wins" against the other squad.

Had a stupid match.

4 guys from the same club, two on my team, two on the other team. Me and the random on the other team basically 1v2 the club members because teammates don't help us, then when we are both dead, they heal up and do 2v2.

There should be a private match system for these guys ffs

Please can we have more post-match stats in Ranked Arenas?

They have to be hiding ranks on purpose. There’s no way I should be getting matched with people still doing their placement matches or are brand new to the game or arenas. There’s 6 people, just give me an even match so I don’t have to drop 4K-5K damage every time if I want to win.

The weapon and ability pricing also needs to be changed. Some of the strongest guns in the game can be bought first round and then kept the entire time, how is that ok? You guys wanted to treat Arenas like it was the next big thing so put some actual effort in and make worth playing.

I really thought arenas was gonna be the big thing for me, but I’m just not a fan of multiplayer games anymore I guess. Playing Apex burnt me the hell out, it’s just sweat or get fucked. Either hot drop and join in on the mini genocide happening or spend ten minutes finding the same kit you had when you died last time. At least the second issue was fixed, but damn you gotta sweat to have fun
