- Imagine if the diamond/peal remakes looked like this…

Or just used the Pokemon Let's go games! Why didn't they just use it again? That art style was so gorgeous!
ID: h9kajszID: h9kfoihGuess I'll be picking uo the let's go one then.. I just don't get how they messed it up! The let's go visuals literally looked like a modern game.. Why downgrade?
ID: h9lcdeeMy guess is they started making this game for 3DS already
-
It will never look like that, Pokemon Co is lazy AF.
ID: h9j8c7n-acting as if Pokémon co is designing the game directly and not outsourcing it
ID: h9jeh7xI dont see any contradiction, That is definition of Pokemon co is lazy AF
ID: h9jt9rsThey still have to sign off on it and keep up the brand image
ID: h9kb176If you outsource something to a shitty developer, even when the results prints money, lazy is the least I would call you.
ID: h9jfsb2That's a funny way to spell Lazy AF.
-
Imo the soul of Pokemon the art style died in gen 5. Hgss was the peak of Pokemon.
ID: h9l3pw5I still like gen 5 but the 3d games sucked imo
-
Best I can do is low res flipped assets for 60$
-
Imagine if Pokemon BDSM looked like Octopath Traveler.
ID: h9l4pb9Imagine if Pokemon BDSM
I'd rather not think about Pokemon BDSM
ID: h9l6dnqwhy not? it's interesting /s
ID: h9jojsjImagine if the Link's Awakening remake looked like Octopath Traveler.
-
I like what they've shown in the new trailers so far.
ID: h9jk0tyThe only downside to the trailer is the weird text close-up which is super awkward. Who the hell made their trailers?
-
I think in both cases it comes down to having a fanbase that will keep paying a premium price for the same mediocre product year after year
-
No thanks. The blurred edges and inconsistent frame rate give me headaches and are the reason I haven’t completed this version yet.
ID: h9ketxcI've been playing this the past couple weeks and I'm almost done. I've has no problem with frame rates and the game looks fine to me.
ID: h9jmp11I fondly remember the gameboy version as super laggy, though. It didn’t bother me then and it didn’t stop me from completing the new version (I didn’t even register it until I read these comments, to be honest).
ID: h9jpqecYea as a kid lag definitely didn't bother me as much. I remember booting up Pokemon Silver after a long time and damn... talk about laaaaaaag.
Although weirdly Red & Blue are quick and smooth.
ID: h9kchi2I beat this game in a few sit throughs almost entirely in mobile mode. I don’t recall ever seeing low frame rates despite reading reviews about them beforehand. I think people just imagine them because they were told they exist.
ID: h9iyrbdIf you have a Switch running Custom Firmware there is a Mod that easily let's you remove the blurry edges. It's literally just a couple of tiny files that you have to drag onto your SD card.
ID: h9jlhezAre there a lot of mods like this for other games? I would love to mess around with some mods without doing custom firmware.
ID: h9jden3I agree, and I wish they had patched it. There's no excuse for it to have shitty frame rates.

Cash cows need no effort to milk. Whatever they dribble out will still be lapped up at the same price so why spend more than you have to?
When fans decide to use their passion to make it better, cease and desists inevitably follow.
At least we have this remake, it was quite charming.
ID: h9jnznpHad us in the first half, not gonna lie...
-
I’m getting emotional just thinking about how much care you put into their design.
-
That’s fair enough and I don’t blame you for that at all. Games are in this weird limbo of being too easy and too difficult at the same time.
-
I just imagine the hour of the constant alarm going off on that level while you angrily try to get by the door.
-
It sells, they have your childhood by the ball sack, why do they need to worry about quality?
-
Game freak has been releasing two versions of the same game from the very start of Pokémon to scam all your dollars away . It works :3
-
I prefer The BDSP style so much more than Link to the Past
ID: h9k3eaiwait what does this have to do with A Link to the Past?
-
I just want A Link to the Past to be this now…
-
I hate when new announcements drop. Because everybody then decides that it’s the best time to whine and call it: “Criticism”
ID: h9k4xdgno criticism! only consume product and get excited to consume future product! /s
ID: h9jjnhjSeriously! I was pretty happy with what I saw and was excited by the new look. I remember playing the original games as a child and thinking certain things just weren't fun. The game was pretty slow for one, which this one is much faster, and I could see a few QoL improvements already. I don't care about graphics, hell I was playing on a shitty PC with lowest quality settings for games for years because it was all I could afford. I just can't understand people freaking out about a game not looking the way they want it to.
-
If only this game runs good
-
People would probably complain honestly, plenty did about Links Awakening and that was a game that was already sorta weird. Using this art style for a Pokemon Remake where people already complain about moving too far away from the original art-style would create a lot of drama
-
It would be really weird because it would look like a Zelda game with bizarre Mario characters inserted into it randomly. Also where’s the Pokémon ?
ID: h9kdkfvIn the tall grass..
Do you even Pokémon?
-
Imagine if it looked like octopath traveler
-
Like Game freak gives 2 fucks about quality lately
ID: h9jao4cExcept it's not made by GF.
-
Tbh if the remakes looked like this then I would be a little upset, this kind of style doesn’t really fit the idea of Pokémon IMO, I wouldn’t want the remakes looking like actual plastic
-
Hell yeah, I love this art style, especially that little tiltshift/blur effect that makes it look like tiny toys, wish we got this for the remakes
引用元:https://www.reddit.com/r/gaming/comments/p7dybi/imagine_if_the_diamondpeal_remakes_looked_like/
True. They must already have the assets for that too unless they’re making a new let’s go game with it.
