Hello, I'm thinking of buying a lenovo IDEAPAD 3, it comes with ryzen 4600 and a 3050-Q should I buy it? I go to school and game sometimes and I like how the laptop does not look like a full blown gaming laptop but I can still game on it. Although my freind said that it will get super hot and its not worth it will the laptop be able to handle the load of some gaming without getting too hot?

Was your friend talking about this particular model based on reviews or just talking about gaming laptops in general?
ID: h9wnlomID: h9wpffwReally heavy the 3050? It's the RTX chip with the lowest power requirement. There are hundreds of models with more powerful graphic cards.
The Ryzen 5 5600H (the one that model has) is a very efficient CPU also.

Can you link to this laptop? I couldn't find anything about it, and it seems strange to couple last gen's 4600 (4600H?) with a new GeForce 3050-Q (3050 Max-Q?).

Looks to me like a good entry level gaming laptop. I haven't seen any reviews, but I see no reason why it will get particularly hot.
A review from Jarrod'sTech of last gen IdeaPad Gaming 3 (with 4600H and 1650 Ti) has temperature measurements and others.
All in all, it's not a high end gaming PC, but it looks decent.

He said that the 3050 is really heavy and should not be on laptops same for the ryzen and chip inside it
